Sanity, well, you know, the last 11 days have been pretty illuminating on that score. McCain first said it was "nothing to worry about, the fundamentals of our economy are strong" then, after finally grasping how serious the event was, went off like the typical "mean old man" he's often portrayed as, trying to find a scapegoat. And where the heck was Palin on this crisis? She still seems to be in a news blackout... (and I bet they are trying to find some way to say "she's sick" and can't attend the VP debate.) Meanwhile, Obama's been cool, calm, and collected. Gatheirng info from his advisors, and telling the American people the truth. i.e. he looked Presidential. He and Biden differ on the AIG bailout, but as more info became available, Joe realized that Obama was right.
