I'm sure YOU are the "special one."  Why would he act the same to you as he does to everyone else?

i have seen people with more than two: 1 for being a sub, 1 for  being a dom, 1 for being a switch, 1 for being part of couple...+ 4 more for the partner.

I would need an email slave to handle all those accounts!  Ima boring one image kinda guy.
<waves at faery>

yes its funny ..these are the people that add me to fav's and then write from their different accounts...that is...when i used to get msgs way back in the early days of cm 2003-04....i think cm has cracked down on alot of these kinds of types.

Raechard -> RE: Two profiles? (9/19/2008 4:52:18 PM)

Those people with multiple profiles probably have criminal intent IMHO. We all need to keep an eye out to ensure they don't slip through the net and are not allowed to deceive people unhindered. Remember it's all of our safety at stake here so we all have a part to play and some of us more than one part to play depending on how responsible we are, in ensuring these scumlords don't win and take this net we cherish away from us.

edited to add.....Amen

I've been having a fairly serious email conversation with a local dominant who has told me that he is writing to other women but telling them that he is serious about one (me). Four days ago I noticed that he created a new profile with roughly the same description but no picture, and removed his location from the one that I responded to. He's been using both quite actively, often at the same time.

I don't know what to make of this, but it strikes me as very odd. What in heaven's name is he up to?

I've always been serious about you....but he's fairly attractive too.

(Which one of you can dance better?).

MsSarai -> RE: Two profiles? (9/19/2008 4:59:45 PM)

lol not everyone with multible accounts is like that tho...I have more then one, but then I am also honest about it as well. (mentioned at the bottom of both profiles, and I also mention it in 1st emails.

Ask him, and if you have met in person yet, ask him in person. Easier to spot a lie. :) good luck!

zakkan -> RE: Two profiles? (9/19/2008 10:06:46 PM)

The first thing that is fishy is that he tells you he writes to other women, and he tells them he is only serious about you. Do you know any of the other women? If you do, ask them about him. Its odds on the other women think they are the ones he is serious about.

There is a very simple way to know what he is doing without exposing yourself. Work it out yourself. That way of going about things is frowned upon by many here [:(]

Of course, you could just ask him.

DesFIP -> RE: Two profiles? (9/20/2008 6:44:15 AM)

If the new profile isn't from the same area, has no picture, doesn't have a lot of the same details - then maybe it isn't him. Maybe someone else generally copied from it to make their own profile.

You could make a second profile of your own and email his second, proving that neither of you are to be trusted. The easier way is to simply say that since he says he's more interested in you than in anyone else he's been speaking to, you would now like to meet for coffee next weekend. And then decide based on how you feel once you've met.

Until you meet, it just isn't real, even though it can feel real.

NumberSix -> RE: Two profiles? (9/20/2008 6:49:35 AM)

I have several profiles.

mnottertail was pretty well worn out (that's the short of it) so now I have numbersix, (and it still isn't working out any better).  I also have several profiles that I NEVER use, just because they got a good moniker.
among them:

CardinalXerxes
BernardoGui
(you can see where I am going with those)
MrWannamaker
(how fuckin' obvious is that?)

I would have though your other accounts would be NumberFive, NumberFour etc.

It was him, or someone pretending to be him. Same height, weight, age, town, similar profile text. I wrote to him asking about it and he claimed someone was imitating him. And, magic, presto, the profile disappeared almost certainly faster than the webmasters could ever have arranged.

There are some things that he's written that make me somewhat uneasy, but perhaps he's just had a lot of bad luck in life.

His first wife left him for another woman after aborting his child. His second wife cheated on him, but he stayed with her anyway through a huge health crisis that left her disabled. A few years later she filed for divorce, winning their Vermont country house and all assets because of her disability -- only to be magically healed the day after the decree signing at which point she got a full-time job.

Once freed from marriage he had a sub in every city. He ultimately choosing one of the many who had a drinking problem. Then came a "slave" who wanted more of the whip than he apparently preferred to dish out but he stuck with her for nearly a year anyway. That "romance" overlapped the previous relationship. Quick on the heels of that came his romance with a woman he got got pregnant. Her wealthy mother got so disapproved of his long hair and his politics that she launched a campaign to badger and bribe her into ditching him. This caused such emotional stress that the woman miscarried and refused to ever see him again. On top of all this, he also says that he's being discriminated against by the many women in charge of hiring free-lance artists.

So I'm not just worried about the duplicate profiles. This is a guy who writes a lot about how much he wants someone to cherish, yet I have this uneasy feeling he might not like women very much at all. They certainly seem to be the author of his every misfortune. Am I reading too much into all this? I'm away on a business trip and have a bad cold, so I'm not thinking very clearly and could use some feedback, if anyone has any.

Thanks in advance,

sub, enchanted

I'm not sure about the "not liking women bit" he after all has no problem being with more than one at a time lol.. I'd find someone who had their lives a little calmer if i were you..unless you like being part of the chaos in order to feel alive? If he's so taken with you why hasn't he let the others go? Or is it a possible poly situation for you? I'm getting it's not [:D]. I bet it will be though if you continue seeing him, whether you like it or not. Whether you even know it or not.

Good luck, female.

SassyBird -> RE: Two profiles? (9/20/2008 3:58:52 PM)

I think your concern already speaks for itself. After following this thread you dont seem more at ease, but rather the opposite.

Maybe it is time to sit down and think hard about what you want, want you need, and what "flaws" you can accept in a partner before commiting to anything.
Also, meeting him for real helps.

This could be the case as well. I have had this happen to me in the past.

You could just ask him, but do you know him well enough to tell if he is lying?

Venatrix -> RE: Two profiles? (9/20/2008 6:12:15 PM)

Way, way too much drama there.  Sounds to me more like he doesn't want to take responsibility for his mistakes and blames them on the women in his life.  Do you really want to be next?

windchymes -> RE: Two profiles? (9/20/2008 6:23:05 PM)

How amazing, the poor bastard, such misfortune just waiting for him around every corner.

Do you not see a pattern in any of this?  All his women have these major flaws, but he stays "stuck" with them until something comes along that is completely out of his control that drives him away.  Nothing is his fault, and all his women are vindictive and out to screw him over for no reason whatsoever, poor him.  But yet, he manages to have a woman to go to, always one waiting in the wings.  Do you not think that maybe the vindictive ones are pissed because he cheated on them, and he "stuck" with the others until yet another one came along?

I have some coffee here, open your eyes and take a great big sniff.
