The owner of the Storchen restaurant in the exclusive Winterthur resort will improve his menu with local specialities such as meat stew and various soups and sauces containing at least 75 per cent of mother's milk.

"We have all been raised on it. Why should we not include it into our diet?" Hans Locher, who has become Switzerland most controversial restaurant owner, said.

I don't have a problem with it, as long as it comes with a picture of the milked breast, and absolute assurance that it was properly cooked.

Is that French dish Tish???

And they say Spain has over taken them in the gastronic sciences!

Does it come with its own caviar?

Hmm, what a recipe. Anything that needs salt, pepper, shallots, onion, garlic, wine, bacon and three cloves of garlic to mask its flavor can't be that much of a treat, can it?

Probably to mask the flavor as the meal traveles both ways, I'm guessing...

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Swiss restaurant to serve meals cooked with human breast milk (9/18/2008 8:15:04 PM)

Ummm Sanity....

Salt, pepper, shallots, onion, garlic, wine, bacon and three cloves of garlic don't mask anything, but they enhance everything!

christine1 -> RE: Swiss restaurant to serve meals cooked with human breast milk (9/18/2008 8:18:27 PM)

i wonder if there will soon be a market for "pesticide free", "low sodium", and "hormone free" varieties.

I guess this means I'll have to give up my Chef card

I don't know, but they're paying women $5.40 per 14 ounces...

I wonder if there are required standards that the donors would have to meet. Would they have to be tested? Quality and consistency would seem like it would be a huge problem as medications, alchohol, smoking and diet have such a huge influence on the taste, fat and sugar contents.

Milk. Does a body good, right? I'm game. [:)]

5.40 isn't worth the trouble if you ask me.  others' mileage may vary of course.

No kidding. You have to walk around all day with leaking, sore boulders and 14 ounces takes some time to pump...at least by hand...never tried the electric models.

Sanity -> RE: Swiss restaurant to serve meals cooked with human breast milk (9/18/2008 8:38:32 PM)

Interesting point, because small cattle dairies have all gone out of business here in the states, because they can't afford to meet all the federal requirements...

Hmm...

The last time I was pregnant I could provide milk to the whole neighborhood. I had tons and tons of it in reserve.. and eventualy gave it all away to the Le Leche League. Only the extra I needed for my son was kept.

Gods I still remember walking around smelling like sweetend condensed milk. blah.

I need to buy a pump soon because any day now it is gonna come in. *sighs*

Gwyn

Mooo mooo... Mooo damn it.

I'm probably fucked in the head, but if I have a kid I'm eating the womans placenta. It just seems like the natural thing to do. I wouldn't want some strange woman's placenta though.

LOL. Yeah, I need to look into some mental medications.

sad to say it used to be the norm before we became more "civilized"

when I had my um they asked me if I wanted to keep it.. ( It looked like a giant slab of rare rare rare roast beef.. and smelled like it too. )

Um.. no was my answer.

Who knows.. maybe this time I will keep it.. and do the suprise dinner party Titus style. LOL

~ I would never actualy do that.. but it was a funny image in my head~
