sb4u,

I missed the ice storm of 2000... although I still hear stories about it from people. I did notice a lot of the destroyed trees and stacks upon stacks of downed branches though, when I moved down this way several months later... it must've been hellacious!

i havent heard too much about natural gas explosions.

however, some homes on galveston island burnt to the ground because fire crews couldnt go out in the midst of the storm, same with some resturants here in houston.
