Mmmm, cheese, nom nom nom...

At the moment, my tummy hurts due to the painkillers I'm taking for my toothache, the only thing I can handle is pepper jack, if you can believe that.  I found a package of pepper jack cheese sticks, like string cheese.  Woohoo!

My fave right now is the asiago, feta, and fresh grated parmesan.  And I will also flash my trashy colors, and say that I LOVE the American cheese, melted into my top ramen.  We could live off top ramen.

Mozzarella and provolone.

Your such a guidette sometimes.

Where the hell heave you been?  I'd be offended if that remark came from anyone but you.

i know i've replied to this thread already, but i think one could do well living from cheese and bacon.  of course, this is in the fantasy world where good health is a given no matter what you eat.

Bocconcini (singular Bocconcino) are small, semi-soft, white and rindless unripened mild cheeses which originated in Naples and were once made only from the milk of water buffaloes. Nowadays they are usually made from a combination of water buffalo and cow's milk. Bocconcini are packaged in whey or water, have a spongy texture and absorb flavours.

This cheese is described by its Italian name which means small mouthfuls. It is made in the pasta filata manner by dipping curds into hot whey, and kneading, pulling and stretching. Each cheese is about the size, shape and colour of a hardboiled egg: indeed an alternative name used is Uova di bufala, or “Buffalo eggs”
.

soul2share -> RE: mmmmm...cheese.... (9/14/2008 7:51:03 AM)

I love Tillamook and Heluva Good sharp/extra sharp cheddar dipped in a mixture of ketchup and horseradish.....the hotter the horseradish the better!  I just wish I could get Heluva Good this far west!  It's a local place whre I grew up.....one more thing to pig out on when I'm home in October!

Does Velveeta count?  It's the only thing I use for my grilled cheese sammiches!

LadyHibiscus -> RE: mmmmm...cheese.... (9/14/2008 9:12:08 AM)

BLUE cheese, a yummy huntsman, bocconcini, and any fresh mozzarella--well, mozzarella period!  and colby, and gouda, and swiss...

WELL, let's be honest.  Is it CHEESE?  Unless it is limburger, or some of those French dead sock cheeses, or Brie, which I inexplicably dislike, I AM THERE MORE FOR ME GET OUT OF MY WAY CHEESE IS INVOLVED!!

windchymes -> RE: mmmmm...cheese.... (9/14/2008 4:12:45 PM)

Guggisberg Swiss from Holmes County in Ohio, yummmmmmm yum.  You haven't had swiss cheese until they cut a big chunk off a 50 lb. wheel in the old general store, cut you off a little sample to taste, and wrapped the rest in white paper.

Runners up are Gouda, Gorgonzola and Havarti.

LaTigresse -> RE: mmmmm...cheese.... (9/14/2008 4:31:27 PM)

All cheese is my favourite cheese. The stinkier the better.

kiwisub12 -> RE: mmmmm...cheese.... (9/14/2008 6:39:31 PM)

mmmmmmm     -   Stilton,   Irish aged cheddar, Swiss,  sharp cheddar, Huntman ( cheddar and Stilton layered), brie, babybels - if its cheese, i'm like Mikey - i'll eat it!
