When I lived in London, the neighbour in the appartment beneath me was an actress (retired) and used to hang out in the same group of friends with Cliff in the early years (I've seen all the photos so I know she's telling the truth about that). She told me many a story about, how can we say, certain romantic liasons between certain young men.

.dark., what standards are there as to who gets knighted over there? Seems as if every celebrity gets knighted...isn't there any qualifications?

If Cliff Richard turns out to be gay I will eat my tennis balls.

Seriously I do think he is a very intelligent pop star.
As for his appeal to middle aged women I dont get it.
adding: it must be his looks I suppose. It cant possibly be his singing, can it ?

Saw the scroll by for this thread and momentarily thought who posted my name lol.

Seriously, it is an interesting article and also refreshing to see a well known entertainer not shy about stating his views to be quoted in a newspaper. I have enjoyed his singing and talent yet I've never wondered about his sexuality. Still it is good to see that people with his status and popularity being confident enough to voice an opinion regarding a sensitive subject such as same sex marriages.
