I have been so disapointed in the space program that it does not surprise me at all. NASA are such screw ups that the whole agency should be terminated and something new put in its place using totally different employees. They are an absolute embarassment to this nation. All I have seen in the past ten years or so are huge strides backwards for this country which is crazy! NASA actually admited publicly that they do not understand enough about the shuttle technology to reproduce it. They said that they can only go so far with repairs and they cant build a replacement because the bulk of the scientist that originally created the shuttle are now dead or very aged and without them the tech is lost. Are you kidding me!  One of there "breakthrough" ideas was that they could use robots to build a space station on the moon instead of people.. thats a joke right.  A guy went to college to come up with this idea????? What do you want to bet his ten year old came up with that idea...LOL.  If they were 30 years behind... they would actually be smarted than they are now...LOL (by their own admition). For the sake of the species lets hope China or India makes it. Were to busy figuring out how to kill the most people with the least amount of dollars.

Blah blah blah, the bottom line is space exploration/research/missions need to be opened up to the private sector - who cares if the shuttle has a Pepsi logo on it? Turn NASA into an admin. agency to ensure safe operating procedures and studying of data collected.

You'll get no argument from me on that one.
