Please keep in mind that these people are NOT protesters, outside the convention.   They are duly-elected delegates to the RNC from various states.  ......also had phone conversations with Pennsylvania delegates who corroborated these stories.

Thanks,

They are saying that the anti-war protesters that worked their way into the convention hall recieved their passes from Ron Paul delegates. So the secret service is pissed at them.

Ron Paul and his people need to understand that he lost. He had his chance, people voted, and they didnt agree with him. That's democracy.

And if he wasnt such a prick about it, the GOP would have allowed him to speak at the convention.

CD,

Our system of government is not a democracy. It never has been.

Welcome to Amerika, but the question is, why did they bother going there ?

One thing alot of people forget about winning : choose your battles carefully, and if you can, the battlefield. They were clearly in enemy territory.

I highly doubt that one(let him speak, they tried to not even let him in the debates), and how is Ron Paul being a prick? These are some of his followers, like the nutty McCain worshipers or the Obama congregation who are leaps and bounds nuttier than their respective idols. Actually I doubt McCain or Obama would agree with half of what their most loyal followers say on their behalf.

If you mean he's being a prick by saying what he always says, well I just call that consistent. Not everyone has the "suck the cock" of the chosen alpha male syndrome going on. Most do though, that is the most obvious fact in all of this. Of course if he gave a speech at the RNC he'd mention Iraq, Economics, Foreign Policy, that is 90% of what he talks about. What else would he do, say McCain would do great, even though he disagrees with him on very major issues? Doubt it.

its simple really.  Empire cant go on forever.  Paul wont sell out.   I have a huge Ron Paul sign on my house, which is on a busy street.  I get honks.  I am not the only sign either.

Ron Paul supporters are not going to vote for McCain or Obama.  It is unclear as to what we will do.  His convention was 10,000 people and no money was billed to the tax payer.  [unlike the others]

You see- it isnt only about personality it is about double talk. Both parties are for the expansion of empire.  Ron Paul would strenthen the US simply by adding reason to the out of control grid.

But there are folks who say as you do...which only make people like me,  refuse to take down the sign.

The other candidates are treasonists.   Scold me all you want;. but I wont support a treasonist.

Ron Paul can *REALLY * screw up the planned results if he managed to get enough media. It's sad that Sarah Palin was the best they could do. What was wrong with Kay Bailey Hutchenson?

Kay Bailey Hutchenson was on the 'short list'. She is 66 years old. Something tells me were not getting the whole story on the secret service article...

Paul is a nut-case. He's an isolationist. Some anarchists in St. Paul this past week who were attacking police, breaking windows, and setting fires were also carrying Ron Paul signs. That tells you the type of people he's attracting.

Never mind the war and foreign policy.....Abolishing social security, medicare, income taxes, public schools, etc.... How the hell does he think he will ever get that kind of stuff passed? It will never happen. He's a radical.

Thadius -> RE: Secret service confiscated Ron Paul stuff (9/7/2008 3:22:23 PM)

Just curious if you saw what (or more importantly what was not) allowed to be brought to the Obama speech at Invesco? Unless somebody was going to write in blood, they weren't gonna make a sign for any sort of protest.
