At least, eight years later, we've all learned what "W" stands for...  (rhymes with "burst")

Did anyone else catch the Daily Show last night? Stewart and Co. did a really great job of cross cutting between Bush's acceptance speech, and McCains...

No but I did watch Larry King with Michael Moore, which was fun. But then after that I watched Anderson Cooper, which was really very interesting. I had not realized how many Bushites are involved in McCain/Palin's run. A Bushite wrote Palin's speech, which I had suspected.

I like that Anderson Cooper is trying to report facts, offering truth's, lies, and half truths, for both sides. For someone like me that doesn't have hours and hours to sift through the floods of information, I really appreciate a more unbiased point of view that is TRYING to be factual rather than gossipy.

Obviously, I am an Obama supporter.  But I'd like to know, especially from those of you voting McCain, where the differences are between the two men.

As far as I can tell, they are the same on economic issues, energy policy, social issues, taxes, foreign policy, supreme court appointments, and campaigning.  Could someone please explain, with specifics, where the two men are different?

New, if you're an "Obama supporter" are you a Democrat or a Socialist?
For whatever reason the Democrats seem to be running a Socialist this time around.
That's not a good strategy, to find the most Leftist person they can and run them for president. That will get them 20-35% of the vote.
As for Bush he was never a Republican.
He (is) a mouthpiece for big business!
They got "their guy" in.
Bush just called himself a "Republican."
McCain is much more of a Republican.
He said the other day that it's "the end" for Lobbyists!
Lobbyists steal more of the Taxpayer's money than anyone or anything!
Good for him if he gets in!
I'm not voting for Obama or McCain.

Ann Coulter is a huge supporter of BUSH, but she's lukewarm about McCain.

McCain served in Vietnam and married an heiress, but he's no effeminate Francophile. Bush is alleged to have gone AWOL while in the National Guard.

McCain was never an alcoholic. McCain is not and never was a born again Christian.

McCain is 72 years old, Bush is 62.

McCain has been on the Daily show 10x. Bush, 0.

I thought we tried that in 2004.

For the second time, McCain has a record of crossing party lines, and working with Democrats to get legislation approved.

Thats something neither Hussein nor Biden can claim.

I think she asked for specifics, yet you continue with generalities.

McCain/Feingold
McCain/Kennedy

Just 2 examples.

Annother difference:

McCain actually served. His time in the Navy wasn't some cushy "deferment" that his daddy set up for him, only to go AWOL in the last couple of months of his hitch.
McCain, although I think electing him would be a disaster, at least did serve honorably, in real combat missions, and didn't just wear the uniform as a costume for a photo op on an aircraft carrier.

Bush, however...

Popeye, I am sure I will not have the number correct but, I keep hearing that there are 47 lobbyists or something to that effect working for the McCain campaign. I have no idea if they are paid, volunteer(in which case they indeed as citizens have that right) or what their function is but...I have heard it A LOT. Anyone have any answers, I can only find a commercial done by the DNC on the subject and so, even as a Democrat I wouldn't post that as an answer.
