Really?

Can you show us these lies and what the truth is,concerning them?

Sure, I could do the research for you, my rates aren't cheap though.  It's easy to find for yourself and was well reported in the news 4 years ago.

You`re fired.

Who would have thought that Jimmy Carter would be just as inept in civilian life as he was as a president? He needs to shut his mouth and disappear.

No, I find it hilarious that the very party who demolished John Kerry for being in Vietnam is now incensing McCain for being in Vietnam.

The difference is, Kerry lied about his service in Vietnam and was called on it.

Kerry came home from Vietnam and joined the protesters.  He lied loud and often about what happened over there in the media and at rallies.

McCain served with honour and integrity.

gosh and I thought the difference was....

military service was important when we were talking about Kerry, in fact a good reason to vote for the man....

but now it's McCain, so why do they keep bringing it up, I mean who cares if he served.

McCain didn't do anything that several 100 POWs didn't do and infact less. There are as many or more witnesses who have spoken of McCain's cooperation with the N. Vietnamese as there was those who told us of Kerry's war time actions.

Richard Nixon was in supply in the south pacific and Ronald Reagan became an Army enlisted reservist in 1942 and served only in the states.

So yes, what difference does it make.

But more than Obama who he is actually running against.

True but since most of Kerry's turned out to be lies, he would have less witnesses. Of course that didn't stop him from trying to make it an issue.

Richard Nixon was in supply in the south pacific and Ronald Reagan became an Army enlisted reservist in 1942 and served only in the states.
They aren't running and I really don't care if they served.

So yes, what difference does it make.
It won't effect my vote.

His hero status is legitimate.

It`s the constant mentioning of it every time he fucks up,that`s getting old.

Like it`s a catch-all get out of trouble card.Even his aids use the excuse.lol

Don`t know how many homes we have,POW!!,I cheated on my 1st wife,POW!!,and on.

Eventually,people are going to say,"ok right,right,you were a POW,heard that."

Which is sad,b/c it takes away from the importance of his unique sacrifice.

I don`t believe that getting shot down on your 1st mission and being held prisoner for years gives anyone a leg up on being POTUS,though.

But we shouldn`t denigrate or insult his service.

Not good.

There were a few fools who did the same with hero John Kerry in my presence. They didn`t like my reaction or getting verbally bitch slapped either.

Let`s not do this w/ John McCain.

Actually the "constant" mentioning appears to be coming from the Democrat side of things.

"No fair! He was a POW. We can't run against a POW.  McCain mustn't talk about being a POW so we can have a level playing field."

Owner59 -> RE: Carter blasts McCain, saying he's milking his POW status (8/30/2008 11:56:17 PM)

And who said that?

You make a lot of shit up?

celticlord2112 -> RE: Carter blasts McCain, saying he's milking his POW status (8/31/2008 12:21:29 AM)

It is a fair summation of the Democratic whining about McCain's POW experiences.

How do you know? Where you there? The stuff Kerry said he saw was only the tip of the iceberg.

Fact of the matter is, you are only parroting what you desperately want to believe, not because it is true, but because it suits your agenda.

yes - he co-operated so well that he still can't lift his arms above shoulder height, and had to have nine months of PT to be able to bend his knee to 90 degrees. Yep - some pretty good co-operation there.   If he had co-operated less, i guess he would be missing limbs or dead. Uh-huh.

See - any one can come up with someone worse off - but that doesn't prove that McCain "co-operated" with the enemy.

servantforuse -> RE: Carter blasts McCain, saying he's milking his POW status (8/31/2008 7:20:39 AM)

We should all remember the Carter years fondly. A military in shambles, ( remember the hostages in Iran), inflation running wild with 10% cost of living adjustments that couldn't keep up and lets not forget home loans at 18%..the good old days..

kiwisub12 -> RE: Carter blasts McCain, saying he's milking his POW status (8/31/2008 7:22:37 AM)

Yep - those were the good old days - when the country was so pussy whipped that the rest of the world walked all over us.   good times.

Jeffff -> RE: Carter blasts McCain, saying he's milking his POW status (8/31/2008 7:24:03 AM)

I never said he did. I am just pointing out that hypocrisy is rampant.

Everyone rationalizes everything.............( yes that WAS a sweeping generalization)

Those hostages were released as Ronald Reagon was being sworn in as the next President. Iran was not going to screw with him..

Sanity -> RE: Carter blasts McCain, saying he's milking his POW status (8/31/2008 7:30:30 AM)

So...

Who knows a good Max Cleland joke?

I like jokes... even jokes that aren't perfectly politically correct. [sm=evil.gif]

Iran-Contra anyone?

What a proud moment that was. A lessor administration official decided to ignore the laws he swore to uphold because they were,..............inconvienent

NumberSix -> RE: Carter blasts McCain, saying he's milking his POW status (8/31/2008 7:50:29 AM)

"I am a war criminal," McCain said on "60 Minutes" in 1997. "I bombed innocent women and children."

I said, "O.K., I'll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital." (in his own words)

But I knew that the Code of Conduct says, "You will not accept parole or amnesty," and that "you will not accept special favors."

I said, O.K., I'll write for them.

He has talked about his contemplation of suicide for being involved in propaganda films and tapes (but they were never shown, so it lightened him up on that).

Ja, if his father wasn't who his father was (CINPAC) he would have been courts-martialed.

Whether or not it's a good idea, it's the law.

But don't it kinda look like we are dealing with a Kerry with alzheimers (as the repubs would have it)?
