When we first got cable, way back, I used to stay up late nights in the livingroom and watch all the porno's I could find, and since they had plots, i'd skip from porno channel to porno channel, just looking for the hot fucking lol.

Plots really are for "real" movies. Porn is more like watching NASCAR, or a good tennis match, you're just viewing the mechanics of the action. It's the physicality of the performers that makes it hot. However, the premise of the action seems to have a lot to do with how it appeals to individual fantasies... so, at most, porn should have stories like: "stuck on an elevator with babes," or "meter reader discovers nude sunbather" or "Mistress kidnaps guy from bar" or "Wrestling match turns to sex"... that sort of thing.

Trying to tell a story in a porn film is like trying to perform "A Midsummer Night's Dream" during a WWF match.

I like roleplay on occasion is porn and a storyline can be wonderful. I guess its a woman thing.

You can find porn for every taste, it seems. I remember coming across a section in an adult super store once for "overweight granny" fetishes...

If you really want story, then you have to look back at some of the porn being made in the 1980's, just before video came along and crashed the production values. It used to be that to make an adult film, you'd need to actually film it, which meant that you needed to spend time getting a set together, lighting it properly, and KNOW where the hell the performers were going before you rolled.(i.e. a script) Now, with video, it's more of a case of... "turn the camera on, and let's fuck!"

16mm film costs about $150.00 a roll for 8 minutes worth, plus lab costs, rental of an editing suite, A/B roll conforming, answer print, and final prints being made... plus the costs of talent, locatin rental, makeup, salaries for the production crew...

Now, it's grab your HD camcorder, spend $20.00 for blank tapes, edit on your home computer, and post to the web.... Literally, the costs are pennies on the dollar.

So, now we have a hundred times more porn, but most of it is total crap, on a technical level, at least. A lot of it is virtually unwatchable.

I like story with the sex...but a good story. From what I've seen, it's usually someone sitting there saying "We're going to make a porn." "But it needs a story" "Well, write some crap and odd situations that will lead to sex!" Like, a cop going undercover as a sexy model to bust some bad guys.

I don't really watch porn period, it's not arousing. So if I do make the effort to do so, I'd be delighted if it came with a good story. Hentai is good for that as well, but also sometimes suffers the fate of bad story just to add sex in.

I guess if you want a good story with the porn action you can hope for an Indenpent film that shows the gritty parts of their sex scenes.

I use to like to watch The Red Shoe's Diaries They are soft porn but very erotic in my mind and the music is awsome. It has been many years since I watched them. There might not be much BDSM in them but I do remember there was power control with a couple of them.
