The song "I figured you out" by Nickleback...

I don't have the lyrics handy though.

Jewel

I have them (go figure...lol)

Figured you out "Nickleback"

I like your pants around your feet
And I like the dirt that's on your knees
And I like the way you still say please
While your looking up at me
You're like my favourite damn disease

Lol, and i love it when you play this song just for me.

Luckily for me antibiotics will not get rid of me, ha ha!

PS; i wanna do the bass player........

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Elton John...

"I'm not a present for your friends to open..."

Maybe it is just me who sees a male sub in a room full of crop wielding dommes.

And there's this one, "you deserve to be loved" by Tracy Dawn, apparently

Mind your manners, watch your ways
Be a good boy, just behave
What's wrong with you?
Settle down keep your two feet on the ground
Sit up straight, stand up tall
Never falter, never fall

I stay in school
Make the grade
Never fail and never fade
Be a hero, be a star
Anything but what you are

Find a girl to possess
Always pay, pursue, protect
Be a master, be a slave
Work your way into an early grave

But you deserve to be loved
You deserve something real
It's time to heal, time to feel...love

Daddy's favourite little girl
Dress up in your mommy's pearls
Serve his breakfast in his bed
Earn a little kiss on the forehead
You are sugar, you are spice
You are growing up so nice
Paint your nails, paint your face
Paint around the empty space
Find a man who can provide
Try to fill the how inside
With a family and a home
Tell yourself you're not alone
Keep the memories of yourself
In a shoebox on the closet shelf

But you deserve to be loved
You deserve something real
It's time to heal, time to feel...love

I know somebody loves you
Somebody, somebody love you

Which I perverted at a very, very young age.

The songs that come to my mind just seem so obvious to me, I almost feel silly when I point it out to my friends. lol "Smack That" by Eminem and Akon, "Pain" by Three Days Grace, "You Don't Own Me" (I can't remember who sings that, it's an oldie but I just grin when I hear it), "Freak on a Leash" by Korn, "Freaky Gurl" by Lil Kim, "Just Like Daddy" by 2Pac, there are just so many. I think my favorite one has to be "You Don't Own Me", even though that sounds messed up. It just puts into words what I want to tell all the guys that aren't my Master who try to control me.

hmmm... How about "Strangelove" by Depeche Mode... Especially the chorus...

There'll be times
When my crimes
Will seem almost unforgivable
I give in to sin
Because you have to make this life livable
But when you think I've had enough
From your sea of love
I'll take more than another riverful
And I'll make it all worthwhile
I'll make your heart smile

Strangelove
Strange highs and strange lows
Strangelove
That's how my love goes
Strangelove
Will you give it to me
Will you take the pain
I will give to you
Again and again
And will you return it

There'll be days
When I stray
I may appear to be
Constantly out of reach
I give in to sin
Because I like to practice what I preach
I'm not trying to say
I'll have it all my way
I'm always willing to learn
When you've got something to teach
And I'll make it all worthwhile
I'll make your heart smile

Pain will you return it
I'll say it again - pain
Pain will you return it
I won't say it again

I give in
Again and again
I give in
Will you give it to be
I give in
I'll say it again
I give in

I give in
Again and again
I give in
That's how my love goes
I give in
I'll say it again
I give in

Baby, you look so good,
I knew you would.
Please, dont go away
Darling, say its okay...

I wanna make violent love
To you by the moon above
I wanna make violent love to you

I wanna kiss every night
To squeeze and hold you tight
I wanna make violent love to you

I dont want seem frantic
I dont want to cramp your style
Youre driving me into a panic
You just wanna drive me, drive me,
Drive me, drive me wild

Hime -> RE: Song Lyrics and Being in the Lifestyle. (8/23/2008 10:52:42 PM)

Here's just a snip from a song by Ne-Yo  "closer"

Verse 1:
Turn the lights off in this place
And she shines just like a star
And I swear I know her face
I just don’t know who you are
Turn the music up in here
I still hear her loud and clear
Like she’s right there in my ear
Telling me that
She wants to own me
To control me

Come closer
Come closer

Two songs come to mind both by Rascal Flatts:  God Bless The Broken Road  and the second is I'm Moving On.

Past The Point of No Return - Phantom of the Opera

You have come here
in pursuit of
your deepest urge,
in pursuit of
that wish,
which till now
has been silent,
silent . . .

I have brought you,
that our passions
may fuse and merge -
in your mind
you've already
succumbed to me
dropped all defenses
completely succumbed to me -
now you are here with me:
no second thoughts,
you've decided,
decided . . .

Past the point
of no return -
no backward glances:
the games we've played
till now are at
an end . . .
Past all thought
of "if" or "when" -
no use resisting:
abandon thought,
and let the dream
descend . . .

What raging fire
shall flood the soul?
What rich desire
unlocks its door?
What sweet seduction
lies before
us . . .?

Past the point
of no return,
the final threshold -
what warm,
unspoken secrets
will we learn?
Beyond the point
of no return . . .

AMINTA (CHRISTINE)
You have brought me
to that moment
where words run dry,
to that moment
where speech
disappears
into silence,
silence . . .

I have come here,
hardly knowing
the reason why . . .
In my mind,
I've already
imagined our
bodies entwining
defenceless and silent -
and now I am
here with you:
no second thoughts,

I've decided,
decided . . .

Past the point
of no return -
no going back now:
our passion-play
has now, at last,
begun . . .
Past all thought
of right or wrong -
one final question:
how long should we
two wait, before
we're one . . .?

When will the blood
begin to race
the sleeping bud
burst into bloom?
When will the flames,
at last, consume
us . . .?

BOTH
Past the point
of no return
the final threshold -
the bridge
is crossed, so stand
and watch it burn . . .
We've passed the point
of no return . . .

Here's one I love by Clay Walker...

FALL

oh look there you go again
puttin on that smile again
even though i know you've had a bad day
doin this doin that
always puttin yourself last
a whole lotta give and not enuff take
but you can only be strong so long before you break
so..

chorus:
fall
go on and fall apart
fall into these arms of mine
i'll catch you everytime you
fall
go on and lose it all
every doubt every fear
every worry every tear
i'm right here
baby fall

forget about the world tonight
all thats wrong and all thats right
lay your head on my shoulder let it fade away
and if you wanna let go it's okay

(chorus)

hold on
hold on
hold on
to me

phoenix92901 -> RE: Song Lyrics and Being in the Lifestyle. (8/24/2008 9:45:35 AM)

Another one from Phantom of the Opera:

I have brought you
to the seat of sweet
music's throne . . .
to this kingdom
where all must pay
homage to music . . .
music . . .
You have come here,
for one purpose,
and one alone . . .
Since the moment
I first heard you sing,
I have needed
you with me,
to serve me, to sing,
for my music . . .
my music . . .

Night-time sharpens,
heightens each sensation . . .
Darkness stirs and
wakes imagination . . .
Silently the senses
abandon their defenses . . .
Slowly, gently
night unfurls its splendour . . .
Grasp it, sense it -
tremulous and tender . . .
Turn your face away
from the garish light of day,
turn your thoughts away
from cold, unfeeling light -
and listen to
the music of the night . . .
Close your eyes
and surrender to your
darkest dreams!
Purge your thoughts
of the life
you knew before!
Close your eyes,
let your spirit
start to soar!
And you'll live
as you've never
lived before . . .
Softly, deftly,
music shall surround you . . .
Feel it, hear it,
closing in around you . . .
Open up your mind,
let your fantasies unwind,
in this darkness which
you know you cannot fight -
the darkness of
the music of the night . . .
Let your mind
start a journey through a
strange new world
!
Leave all thoughts
of the life
you knew before!
Let your soul
Take you where you
long to be !
Only then
can you belong
to me . . .
Floating, falling,
sweet intoxication!
Touch me, trust me
savour each sensation!
Let the dream begin,
let your darker side give in
to the power of the music that I write -
the power of the music of the night . . .

You alone can make my song take flight -
help me make the music of the night . .

Hmm, love me some Velvet Underground.  You don't listen to Velvet Underground, you experience it.

Hey, ya'll listen to some NIN for some great BDSM references.  Along with Perfect Circle.  And, yes, I can't go down the pet isle without thinking "hrm, that would make a GREAT little bar gag".  Lowe's makes me wobbly and wet.

Have there been any bands where some of the members have openly admitted to D/s, BDSM, or anything of the sort?

Gleegal67 -> RE: Song Lyrics and Being in the Lifestyle. (8/25/2008 2:49:35 PM)

A great favorite...song by both artists...Bill Withers or Fiona Apple (her version is live and sexy like crazy!)

"Use Me"

My friends feel it's their appointed duty
They keep trying to tell me all you want to do is use me
But my answer yeah to all that use me stuff
Is I wanna spread the news that if it feels this good getting used
Oh you just keep on using me until you use me up
Until you use me up

My brother sit me right down and he talked to me
He told me that I ought not to let you just walk on me
And I'm sure he meant well yeah but when our talk was through
I said brother if you only knew you'd wish that you were in my shoes
You just keep on using me until you use me up
Until you use me up

Oh sometimes yeah it's true you really do abuse me
You get in a crowd of high class people and then you act real rude to me
But oh baby baby baby baby when you love me I can't get enough
I and I wanna spread the news that if it feels this good getting used
Oh you just keep on using me until you use me up
Until you use me up

Talking about you using me but it all depends on what you do
It ain't too bad the way you're using me
Cause I sure am using you to do the things you do
Ah ha to do the things you do

Natasha ... *swoons* yes, yes, yes! i share a love of that song with a very close Mistress friend online.

Depeche Mode has quite a few kinky songs, "In Your Room" and "Master and Servant" to name only two. i DJ online for a D/s club so i'm always in search of D/s-related lyrics.

CallaFirestormBW -> RE: Song Lyrics and Being in the Lifestyle. (8/27/2008 4:58:54 PM)

Ok, since nobody beat me to it (I have to admit I'm surprised...) NIRVANA- Polly

Polly wants a cracker
I think I should get off her first
I think she wants some water
To put out the blow torch

It isn't me
We have some seed
Let me clip
Your dirty wings
Let me take a ride
Don't cut yourself
I want some help
To please myself
I've got some rope
You have been told
I promise you
I have been true
Let me take a ride
Don't cut yourself
I want some help
To please myself

Polly wants a cracker
Maybe she would like some food
She asks me to untie her
A chase would be nice for a few

It isn't me
We have some seed
Let me clip
Your dirty wings
Let me take a ride
Don't cut yourself
I want some help
To please myself
I've got some rope
You have been told
I promise you
I have been true
Let me take a ride
Don't cut yourself
I want some help
To please myself

Polly said

Polly says her back hurts
And she's just as bored as me
She caught me off my guard
It amazes me, the will of instinct

It isn't me
We have some seed
Let me clip
Your dirty wings
Let me take a ride
Don't cut yourself
I want some help
To please myself
I've got some rope
You have been told
I promise you
I have been true
Let me take a ride
Don't cut yourself
I want some help
To please myself

Don't forget "Woman in Chains" from "Songs from the Big Chair" (Tears for Fears)

You better love loving and you better behave
You better love loving and you better behave
Woman in chains, woman in chains

Calls her man the great white hope
Says she's fine, she'll always cope, ooh
Woman in chains, woman in chains

Well, I feel lying and waiting is a poor man's deal (A poor man's deal)
And I feel hopelessly weighed down by your eyes of steel
(Your eyes of steel)
Well, It's a world gone crazy keeps woman in chains, woh woh woh
Woman in chains, woman in chains

Trades her soul as skin and bones
(You better love loving and you better behave)
Sells the only thing she owns
(You better love loving and you better behave) ooh ooh
Woman in chains (the sun and the moon), woman in chains

Men of stone, men of stone, hey baby, no no no, ooh

Well, I feel deep in your heart there are wounds time can't heal
(The time can't heal)
And I feel somebody somewhere is trying to breathe
Well, you know what I mean
It's a world gone crazy keeps woman in chains

It's under my skin but out of my hands
I'll tear it apart (somebody somewhere is trying)
But I won't understand (to breathe)
I will not accept the greatness of man
It's a world gone crazy keeps woman in chains
Gone crazy keeps woman in chains

So free her, so free her, so free her
So free her, so free her (the sun and the moon)
So free (the wind and the rain) her, so free her
So free her, so free her, so free her, so free her
So free her, so free her (the sun and the moon)
So free (the wind and the rain) her, so free her

There are plenty, but they tend to be the types of bands you don't hear on the radio. There are bands that do bondage, whipping, piercing, etc. on stage [8D]

I always thought that evoked more of a nonconsensual relationship. It can go either way, I guess.

As far as songs that aren't overtly about BDSM, as with the OP, I also infer a D/s angle into a lot of songs, even if it's not appropriate. Of course, I can't think of any examples at the moment because I've got KMFDM's Brute stuck in my head [&:]

Interesting -- I wonder if it is because of the kind of play that I enjoy that I saw this as a very violent but completely consensual relationship. To me, it was edge-play experimentation, started out of boredom to see how far they could push each other.
