McCain Staffer Diss D&D That's what is making the rounds of the blogs... But I did some further reading... McCain wants to keep No Child Left Behind- which is eviscerating Special Education and doing a number on schools everywhere. The is no place that is sacred to him. He supports drilling everywhere- because (paraphrasing) 'Oil independence is important. Mother Nature will survive.' He is threatening Russia, Syria, Iran, Pakistan among others. Doesn't he know what happens when people attack the entire world? But the focus is on a slight to Gamers... which SUCKS, and not in the happy wet way... but it's not why McCain bothers me.

If you follow all of the links back... it comes down to it being a shot from the hip reply from a campaign worker to a story on the Daily Kos, that claimed that McCain wasn't tortured and that he plagerized the tale he told about the sympathetic guard drawing a cross in the dirt. The remark basicly referred to those making the claims as 40 year olds who were living in their parent's basement playing D&D. Hope that helps clear it up, Thadius

What I find hilarious is that about 80% of the people I know who play d&d make over 40k/year, about 60% of them own their own homes. The rest rent.

So the deputy communications director of the McCain campaign feels its alright to slam gamers. Just another reason to not vote for McCain. Besides, as we all know, the REAL games that McCain is into are horseshoes, shuffleboard, and bocce ball.... preferably played in really loud shorts.

I enjoy all of those games as well, actually most of the neighborhood I was brought up in enjoyed those games. These games are bad how?
