"Stuff up" is pretty generic evanenne, so I think you will struggle to get meaningful answers.

If it's an error or transgression that can be corrected, I will correct it and move on. That's simple discipline and not about chances.

If it's something that breaks my trust in a relationship that I am in for the long haul, I may be willing to work on it (depends if it's fundamentally broken or not).

If it's a casual relationship and my trust is broken, no second chance, no way, no how.

It always depends on what has happened ... I know I do... I treat people as I would like them to treat me...

if you search second chances in this forum, I know there was a thread in the last six months that might provide some insight

it depends on the person who "stuff up". if it's my pet - yes, i would give him a 2nd chance after correction and punishment. if it's someone i hardly know, then there will be no 2nd chances.

in general, 2nd chances are hard to come by from me.

As 99 percent of the dommes on this site percieve male subs as disposable, valueless, easy come, easy go, door mats. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if you don't get a second chance. As with anyone else in my life, the second chance depends greatly on the offense it is in response to.
I am not going to toss Fox or Angel away over a minor thing. Angel has broken rules before, and he is still mine. The offense has been dealt with and corrected and we move on.
Something more serious, like my vanilla husband did, does not get a second chance. He not only cheated on me, but brought a disease back from his excursions. That was the end, no second chances given.

So, my answer is maybe. Depending on what it was, I might. My boys are entirely too valuable to me to throw away over just anything. I will not, however, stand for a major violation of the rules such as infidelity.

And ... statements like this will generally get a boy dismissed without a second thought. Not so much because the statement is untrue, but moreso because rightly or wrongly it's used as indicator of the personality of the individual making it and I for one don't have the time or inclination to pacify anyone's emotional baby when THEY have already decided they are an expendable commodity.

To the OP ~ It absolutely depends on the infraction ... with me seeming small things may well be one's undoing. My rationale .. if you can't remember the lil things after me telling you then you will probably have problems remembering the important things as well ...

All I can say is that I agree with everything that Ferns has said here.

Folks if you want serious answers, you have to give serious thought to your questions and provide enough information in a clear fashion so everyone can understand and respond. Otherwise you will get generalities and attempts by folks to use your concern as a means to discuss their latest pet peeve, problem or stereotype.

AREN'T YOU JUST THE MOST PRECIOUS THING EVER

Some Dommes might feel that way but I certainly doubt the number is as high as 99% given how many of us are in relationships to which we invest much more work than "What, you put the dishes away wrong? DISMISSED!"

I have a few dealbreakers. Not many, but there are a few. They mostly center around abuse and things that are more based in my boy's and my underlying relationship as soon to be husband and wife, but they are there nonetheless, and they are things that I would consider dealbreakers regardless of whether we were involved in D/s or vanilla.

It depends on the severity of the screw-up, what was involved, whether there was secondary damage, whether the servant/prospective servant lied about it or owned up and took responsibility... and yes... how interested we were in the first place (though we'll often still give a second chance, even if the person wasn't the servant we thought we were looking for... we've had too many nice surprises once a mistake or communication problem has been resolved.)

Second chances are not unlikely with us... but the repeat errors after the first time -- those are pretty likely to end up in us dismissing the person (or not accepting hir if xhe's on probation or under consideration).

stuff up???is that the right phrase? cause when i think of this i think "cant get the stuff up"

...now if u said "fuck up" then i would clearly know you mean you made a mistake...it only depends if the 2nd becomes a 3rd or a 4th or a 5th..etc. we all fuck up atleast once.

The "second chance" thing works both ways. I think the decision to give second chances very much depends on the situation and the connection and investment the partners have in each other. Myself, I've given second chances. Sometimes I was glad I did and other times this turned out to be a massive mistake. I try to remember that the behavior of one person isn't necessarily indicative of another. It's easy to become jaded so I think it's important to be aware of this and to judge each case on an individual basis.

I have a few dealbreakers, but by and large, the situation has to be pretty dire for me not to just deal with the issue and move on.

Once I have "moved on", though, I don't take that person back into my service. He or she and I might be friendly, but that's it. In that regard, there are no second chances in Auntieland!
