ORIGINAL: housesub4you So I guess the rules for government employess such as Cops, firefighters, military, post office have a max age of 35 to apply is not an age requirement? Or perhaps all the people forced to retire at 65, why do they have to? Hell the governement enforces age limits all the time, 16 to drive, 21 to drink, 18 to join the mil, But when it comes to their own asses, then age does not matter. Notice most if not all of your examples require physical activity as part of the job description... There is even an age restriction on the presidency one must be at least 35, so I don't see where the argument is. If one is suggesting that being too old is criteria for being denied an elected office, shouldn't we add it to the laws governing such? At what age do we stop allowing folks to run (or be elected) for that office? 60? 65? 70? 75? Oh and another thing, I joined the military at 17, an age where I couldn't even vote, and was in boot camp with somebody that was 37, this was years before the first trip to the sandbox.
