I feel if McCain makes it into office we will have another president like Reagan in office. Havingt the much needed naps to make it through the day. It is only one health crisis and we don't have a president anymore. Of course, the alternative is Obama. What is worse? Experience versus none. Old age versus young. I don't know which one would be best still. I've been trying to figure that out forever already. All I hope for at the moment is that we don't end up in Georgia.

SO easy to find fault with either. McCain seems a bit much like Bush, and Obama seems a bit inexperienced, yet no other candidates won enough of their respective primaries so, these are our choices. Personally, I feel that the negative force that has become politics and the instant knowledge of everything a candidate does, has done or might do makes the targets so huge and hard to miss from either side. Face the fact that each man has great qualities and each are deserving of respect. Shawn Hannity, Rush Limbaugh et. al. persuade the right that Obama is the next coming of the Anti-Christ and his surname makes everything he does suspect. In the ads ran here in Ga. McCain has already lost the high road and Obama maintains his positive message. My nature will always lean to those who think "We Can" as opposed to those who think "He can't". If I was to vote today I would vote for Obama.

I am not going to dispute his class rank, although there hasn't been any source I could find that information and McCain himself has stated he wasn't a very good student. I do have an issue though with your characterization of Annapolis, where do you thing the cadets of Annapolis would place at other schools, seeing as they are arguably the cream of the crop. What class ranking would somebody with a 3.9 gpa have at most Ivy League schools? Hopefully, you can see that using class rank to define somebody's intelligence is flawed at best, and can be very misleading.

If Obama was so highly placed in his class... and having made some of the mistakes he has made (57 states, 10000 killed, etc..) one could reasonable argue that his mental status has slipped further than McCain who didn't start out ranked all that high and has made a gaffe about Sunni and Shia. Senator McCain is in good shape for a man his age. But can he handle the stress and pressures of the Presidential Office? That is one of my concerns about him. Past Presidents have visibly aged during their time in office and I thought that President Reagan seemed to be going senile during his second term. (At least Senator McCain skips the ghastly black hair coloring at this stage of his life.)
