frankly my dear,.... have'nt you ever been bot ;sold ,or auctioned ,yet?sign yourself ,up....
be ready like a race-horse ,and, take everbody ,for a ride, if you're ,not....
embarrass a famous mistress who sold you thinking you're ready ,and ,remember :even ,if you start running ,now;you can't ,outrun a bullet ,of a sharp-shooting dom,but,....you can get away, to a dom, if you start runnin'right, now, from a pimp.

i'll give my transaltion/paraphrase of it since i think i understood it.

This person made this comment "blah please abuse me and share me with your friends blah"

He got it wrong it should be "bleh please abuse me and share me with your friends blah"

(it's hard to tell whether one or the other is correct though)

His profile reads (cut/pasted)

If he ever actually found anything like that he probably couldn't handle it, and there's no way he could run fast enough to get away from it once he got in too deep.

Please, don't take offense at this it's just my honest attempt to make the points more understandable.

orfunboi -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 12:32:44 PM)

You mean you actually read his whole profile.....wow

justatoy2 -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 12:49:36 PM)

is it me or is this whole thing confusing..i don't know what any of you are saying...

swtnsparkling -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 12:56:03 PM)

I do not understand Anything jamesthehumanrug writes.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 1:13:03 PM)

Neither do I, and I am a fan of Finnegan's Wake and Joycean styled writings in general.

Unfortunately, he is the only person I have blocked, since I just can't deal anymore. :) I was hoping one of you would have a good translation, though!

:)Francine, whose years of teaching remedial reading and writing didn't help this time!

Totally agree!

Perhaps it's yet another way to get some much needed attention.

I think I'll do like Francine and block...my first one too. The other one, that I had thought to block was removed before I really felt the need to make a firm decision.

Not "censoring"...just not understanding...EVER!

LadyHibiscus -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 3:42:44 PM)

Wow, Calli, you never had to read any James Joyce in school? Portrait of the artist as a young man, Ulysses (the best) lots of other stuff, and this supercool book Finnegan's Wake, which is a stream of consciousness piece of wordplay. Astounding, and challenging.

:)Francine---who has foresworn correct punctuation, just for today.

orfunboi -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 4:22:41 PM)

No, i'm afraid if they did have us read them, i have forgotten. i might have to investigate, they sound interesting. i have heard of Ulysses, in fact i just watched a Xena episode, where she helps him win his kingdom back. Hope to see you soon.

calli, who takes a stab at getting the punctuation right

LadyHibiscus -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 6:37:39 PM)

Not the same Ulysses........but a retelling of the story using characters from early 20th century Ireland!

KatyLied -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 6:39:53 PM)

Too many commas and semi-colons give me a headache.

orfunboi -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 7:06:44 PM)

That sounds a lot more interesting :)

IronBear -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/21/2005 7:23:20 PM)

I'm another one who has jamesthehumanrug permanantly blocked. I have enough problems translating put the same effort in my relaxing time here in CM. Sorry jamesthehumanrug (assuming you read this) it's nothing personal.

My writing style has been deemed "stream of unconsciousness".... *evil grin*

IronBear -> RE: someone said PIMPS,not me... (11/24/2005 6:40:41 AM)

LadyHibiscus,

Thanks to your post I now have every intention of reading James Joyce. It was never on my reading list at school and I need a newish direction to read until I can locate where I packed many much loved books. By the by, may, I suggest reading “Canterbury Tales” by Chaucer. I have an unabridged version which has not modified the OE writing style and spelling (well spelling wasn’t invented then anyway), it is an entertaining read.
