I feel it would depend on what mood I was in...If I were in a mood, that I wanted something light and airey the first would do...If I were in a mood for intensity, and depth, then of course the second...It always depends on your mood and your receptiveness to what is going on around you..Tempting

That first scene would annoy me and get less attention than the time it would take for me to wander off in search of the second scene. It is the intensity and beauty of watching two or more people who know their stuff and know how to do it well. One of the first scenes I ever saw was a dominant using two single tails on a tied and gagged submissive, in a small hotel room that was filled with onlookers. I sat there mesmerized and twitching in my chair.

I might want to poke in on both.. but from the way you wrote your OP, it's obvious you are slanted towards the second... I doubt anyone would want to watch the first the way you described it, but another person might see it differently.

I generally don't go watch, just to be watching. If someone starts dragging a leaf blower and a cask of Crisco into the main dungeon room it might pique my curiosity, but neither of the OP scenes would draw me away from playing or relaxing. If the people playing are happy, that's fine with me.

I love watching, that is why I go but I love playing too but don't want to play "first lier doesn't stand a chance". I love watching anything where I can see the connection between two people. I actually drew an audience in SF playing without toys...not sure if it was the connection between me and this woman or the novelty of "how the fuck can you play without toys"....

While at an event a few weeks ago I witnessed part of a very intense scene, where a female sub was suspended by her ankles, while undergoing some pretty intense knife play. It was pretty gruesome, and I have a pretty hard time with blood, but yet, it was hard to look away. The connection between the two players was obviously very intense and intimate, and it almost completely overrode the fact that this girl was dripping with blood. That same night I saw parts of a scene very similar to the first one you described- pissy, disinterested sub, and a half interested dom participating in sloppy impact play. Every time I glanced their way I cringed, no way in a hundred years could they keep my interest. To me the interaction and dynamic between the participants far outweighs the type of play they're engaged in. I find this holds true whether I'm watching, or involved in the scene.

The first. Because she was giggly and obviously enjoying it. Once something's brutal, it's just too much for me. And I don't care if someone is more technically proficient or not, I like to see people having fun. Which doesn't appear to be what I would see if I watched the second.

defiantly the second. There was a couple I saw once at a party here in Houston that held me spell bound because of the connection, not so much what they were doing. But I noticed a similar phenomenon of people not watching or leaving the room. However the pair that followed had me leaving the room since whether there was any connection it just seemed over done, and the connection whatever it was seemed to get lost amongst the giggling and moans. So I can understand your confusion about who people seemed to want to watch, I found myself puzzled as well.

Don't I get a third option here? What if I found both to be boring as hell? Perhaps I found myself more interested in watching all the people watching these two events? What if I wanted to flip through some internet porno on my Cell phone? What if I was more interested in talking with the person standing next to me? Oh come on here, don't I have other options here? LOL....

I'd have to say that I'd watch the first, but not out of some disdain for the more intense scene. I'm fairly new to everything BDSM, so by watching a couple seemingly as new to things, I'd be able to learn through their mistakes. In a purely entertainment way, I'd prefer to watch the intense scene. The giggly fluffy scene makes the players look maldroit and cheap. I'd be embarrassed for them, and uncomfortable watching such awkward attempts. The artistry and inensity of the second scene would draw me in. I could get a vicarious high just from watching them.

We wouldnt tend to watch a scene unless we have some sort of connection with the people involved, so my answer would be neither if we didn't know them unless the scene had a specific act that we were interested in and looked pretty - like fireplay. Theatre is attractive and neither of those would be of interest in particular. the.dark.

WTF is going on oop north???? In somewhere like Hades Dark the first couple wouldn't raise so much as an eyebrow, unless it was a disaproving one. The only reason the second couple wouldn't get a great deal of attention is that what you describe there is more common. But they would draw the occassional possitive comment, much as I do when I play with metalmiss. Funny enough the word 'brutal' gets used a bit in those comments too [:D] along with 'pain slut' and 'trust' But to answer your question directly rather than just implied... the second couple, if I watched either.

grins ... we have fun up North as well you know! Y'all southern nancies should come try it some time (Like maybe Kinkdom in september - you can all stay at mine!) I would have watched the second scene, because I am always drawn into energy between a couple ... even just watching a couple in a restaurant or a bar. I once watched a demo by MRK and Redflame, and couldn't tell you the first thing about suspension beacuse I was so engaged in watching their interactions as a couple. Stunning. The second scene would have more attraction also from a technical interest - watching the Top work at that kind of level is always facinating and I am very interested in the bottom, how they are working their breathing, what they seem to be focussing on, things like that. The first scene would attract my attention purely from a perspective of morbid facination, like when you drive by a car accident. Pity I only got to watch the first one ... the second one sounds hot

Trust me, the only nice thing I would have been able to say was that one of the floggers was quite cute, and I wondered where he had gotten it from.

Here is my next opinions/questions (fully aware of the value of two cents): Could the first couple just have been having fun? Maybe he's learning and she's an exhibitionist? It was their first time in a club? Maybe the second couple's scene was more for them and less accessible to a crowd? Were they a paid feature performance open to critical evaluation or judgement? People play with each other for a variety of reasons. Who are we to judge anyone? Was there a competition that night for the most connected couple versus the most popular couple? I am not being difficult on purpose, but I don't like to judge. By outside standards, everything we do is twisted and people in the BDSM life are judged harshly every day. As long as the two couples playing left happily ever after, who cares? By the way, what a fun topic of conversation (seriously). Maybe we should compare this thread to another one to see who has more hits and who has more depth...(less serious more funny).[8D]
