It could be that women emit, especially when aroused, pheromones that go straight to the hind brain and disconnect the cognitive functions and cause addictive endorphin releases.

It could be that some of the Gnostic sects were right that the way to experience God's mine is in the union of male and female in mutual orgasm.

It could be that soft arms are a warm fuzzy blanket for the soul.

Why ask why, go for what is...

it is wide known the spreding of seed.. and gentic material.. not worried about that. ( ok.. my one case I am kinda concerned but that is another matter) I am worried about the health effects of the Y chromosme shedding it's DNA. to me that is scary. ( no equality or non equality here.. just worried ya'll are going to become extinct as we know it. )
