Actually the first male singer to sing about being a male submissive was Richie Valens. But back in the 1950's no record label would entertain you if you were singing about BDSM. What? I always thought this song was about being a sailing ship captain! I mean, my spanish is a bit rusty but "marinero" means "sailor" and "capitan" means "captain"...
