What do you guys think of Max Mosley?

Hes big news in the UK and I was curious as to the general opion of the D/s community re Nazi themed role play

Lynnxz -> RE: Mad Max (8/8/2008 2:05:22 PM)

I thought they had decided that it wasn't Nazi.. but just German 'officer' girls interrogating him? I really have no idea though.

Personally, I think the German language is a sexy one, and I think it would have been a fun scene to play out. It's horrible that someone decided to spread his personal business all over the news, but I suppose thats a risk you have to take when you are important.

RumpusParable -> RE: Mad Max (8/8/2008 2:05:54 PM)

I've never heard of him, but I'm admittedly unhip for the most part.  As to Nazi-themed role-play, I see nothing wrong with it  -same as with other taboo and discomfort and so on playing:  As long as they don't think that way for real, I've no issue beyond a possible "not for me, thanks" on a particular type.

spinninsweetness -> RE: Mad Max (8/8/2008 2:08:32 PM)

Try reading the boards on informedconsent.

Seriously

It's all we talk about

Owner4SexSlave -> RE: Mad Max (8/8/2008 2:11:45 PM)

I think it's great that he's being open and upfront about being into BDSM.  Yeah for Formula Racing and BDSM.   Vrrrrooooommmm.   Good to see somebody rich, powerful and well known in the BDSM spot light.

Some people take scene play a little too literally.  So what if it had Nazi like themes to it!!   Hell, I've said using a German Accent.. "We have ways of making your talk fraline"...

Redbaron1979 -> RE: Mad Max (8/8/2008 2:18:27 PM)

Personally i think he was harshly treated.

I mean he was only doing it for the Craic. In any case he was in the sub role as well.

Love to know what skeltons are in the closets of the lads at the News of the World

Venatrix -> RE: Mad Max (8/8/2008 2:51:46 PM)

Max's lawsuit was the catalyst for a really hot scene coming up in three weeks.  The props have cost me an effing fortune, though.  I wonder if I could send him a bill?

Redbaron1979 -> RE: Mad Max (8/8/2008 2:57:36 PM)

Aye you may as well send him  bill.

That lads rolling in it!

Seriously the fact that his father Sir Oswald had some conterversial ideas does not justify hounding Max for having a bit of fun.

I think the media should go after the REAL criminals!

MasterHermes -> RE: Mad Max (8/8/2008 3:13:09 PM)

His sex life is not our business no matter what its theme unless he was holding a secret meeting in that dungeon for planning the Third World War with those escort girls.

I wonder who they thought should be the baddie? - - - the big bad wolf? the evil vegan bent on saving the cows? the evil meatareian bent on eating every cow in the world? the evil archiologist bent on stealing the valuable artifact ( oh, that one might even work - if the artifact was secreted somewhere really dark and moist and warm-  hehe).   Seems to me the bad Nazis are a cliche for the baddie.

Indeed, they are.  But such great uniforms.  Sigh.

They are making a big deal out his family's past political history as well.  Who the hell can be held responsible for what their Grandparents or parents did?  He's not the only person with a family tree connected to a Questionable past.

It's rather crazy how people blow things out of proportion at times.  As you said, would love to know what Skeltons are in the Closets of the lads at the News of the World.   Wonder how many people involved in the News industry have parents or grand parents that had a checkered past as well.    But then again, are they really that important to draw News Attention?

I actually love the fact that Max is taking the high ground and confronting the moral opposition with the truth of his BDSM activities.

The German Sexual sub-culture before, during and after WWII, well franky involved people doing some extremely kinky things to one another.  It should not be suprising that some people scene or act things that involve Kinky Twisted Nazi's on a sex power control trip.   So somebody wants to play out being used and abused by some German Nazi Girls.   IT's all a Scene!   Crap, I wonder how many actors should be damned for playing Nazi Roles in the making of Hollywood movies?  Dugh!!  I wish people would understand that's it's role playing, on par with acting.

This is just anti-semantic overkill here.   This reminds me of it being more correct to to wish somebody "Happy Holidays" and avoid saying "Merry Christmas" because somebody might get a big stick up their ass and become offended by it.  Anymore you have to watch how you express GOOD will towards another human being.  Even though my intentions of good will should be understood without question.  It's not like I'm saying "Merry Christmas" to intentionally offend or trample on somebody's beliefs.

Can't anybody have any personal preferences anymore?  Personally, I think attacking people for how they use their own personal freedom and forbidding it, is a form of fascism.  It's amazing the amount of people that are selling the civil liberties/rights of other people because they simply don't agree with it, even though it's something that is not causing anybody any true/real harm.

Does this mean I can sue somebody just because they way they looked at me offended me?  Geeesh....

It's more acceptable to Dress up as Satan for Holloween compared to wearing a Nazi Costume.   You'd swear Hitler is more Evil compared to Satan and demonic creatures.   Pretty Amazing eh?  Satan is more accepted and welcomed by people!

I think if you have enough money you can buy the best that the legal service has to offer.
Had it been a case about my private life i am certain i would have had a hard time qualifying for legal aid and theerefore not have been able to buy the Court time necessary to secure my privacy.
I know a very delectable dom.. who, amongst his beautiful array of possessions, owns a Nazi uniform. Does it make him a Nazi? No. It probably means that someone somewher made a profit for the Fashionista.
As for Moseley? It's going to take more than his money to prove to me that he isn't a chip off the old block.

kiwisub12 -> RE: Mad Max (8/9/2008 8:36:38 AM)

The poor man has family angst related to Nazis. Of course he is going to play good guy/bad guy with nazis. They are after all the elephant in the corner of the room that was probably never discussed in any meaningful way.

i also think the fact that the callgirls had Nazi paraphinalia would indicate that this particular fantasy isn't his alone. Must be an English thing (ducks and runs, giggling)

IronBear -> RE: Mad Max (8/9/2008 8:49:38 AM)

I would immagine that role playing an SS, Gestapo or KGB Officer for an interogation scene would be ideal as setting the scene for painfull and sexual content seeing as the brutality and torture used in the interogation methods of those groups is pretty well dovcumentated and dramatised. of course you could use any secret police persona including some of those found currently or in the past in South America. Heaven forbid though that any of us use the miloitary or law inforcement personas from the country in which we abide..

ProtagonistLily -> RE: Mad Max (8/9/2008 11:00:27 AM)

I think it's great that he's standing up to the antiquated ethics laws in Britain. I think they expected him to go quietly, both in his 'celebrity' public life and his racing life. He's done neither and has been outspoken about his right to practice his sexuality as he so chooses.

The sticking point however may be if gold crossed any palms.

IvyMorgan -> RE: Mad Max (8/9/2008 2:53:59 PM)

The Mistress who outed him also outed a perfectly normal teacher, and her life has been kinda messed up courtesy of the NotW since.

I honestly don't care about Mr Mosely.  And don't know why I should, tbh.
