I am not sure what you are asking. Your friends list, on this site, is a list of people that you have either :
chosen to be on the list, in which case they were sent a little note asking them to 'allow' it
or
they sent you an invite, and you 'allowed' them to be on your friends list.

As far as i can see on this site, no seperation is made among the friends list based on which of the two ways they got there.

You are given two options, when someone asks to put you on thier friends list:
allow them to put you on their list, and put them on yours (if you invite someone to be on your list, the site presumes that you are willing to be on theirs as well)
or
allow them to put you on their list, but do not have them on yours.

well, okay, three options, there is also 'NO'.

Some people are collectors of 'friends', usually chosen, as collections generally are, on some specific criteria - they are collecting female pics, hot pics, subbie females, ect. In such cases, you will recieve an invite from someone you have never met, heard of or talked to, and will never hear from again. They just want your pic in their collection.
Because I am a generous person who does not wish to refuse to share my Hawtness with the entire WWW, I generally click 'accept, but don't add' to such persons.

does this answer your question?

There are those that sign up for your journal or as an admirer.  You don't have a say in those and they don't have to ask your permission like a 'friend' does. Then their picture is seen from the 'who's viewing' and they never, ever go away... damn it...

They go away, per se, if you block them.  You won't see them on your admirers list.

Ahhhhh someone told me they would still be there on the last thread like this... hummm... off to see if that works!  There are just some mugs... one doesn't want to see everyday!  Especially when those mugs aren't exactly face forward if you know what I mean...

Okay... a block will get someone off your admirer list... I think... but as for the journal... nope... the mug is still there.  I know they can see the journal and all that and don't care about that.  I just don't want to see them.  One the who's viewing, you can delete the picture, but you can't on the journal subscription.  I just try not to go that far down on the page. hehe
