A one-liner I recieved that gave me a warm feeling (!) just said "Oh, what I would do to you....." We sent a message or two back and forth. He had a really good looking pic.

I think I have written in my profile that I wont respond to one liners however I am talking about the "on your knees" kind of comments.  A lot of people send brief messages about my profile or posts and I always thank them for writing to me.  I think it is lovely that people take a moment to send a message to a stranger.

Even better are the girls with nothing but two lines in their profile, one of which states that one line e-mails will be ignored. I really don't want to repeat what's in my profile to a girl. It's a well written self-introduction. If she also has a well-written self-intro then I will comment on it and find things in it to foster conversation. We don't meet people at the grocery store and begin with a paragraph. We start with a hello. If I get a simple hello from someone then I go look at their profile to see who they are and if I want to say hello back.
