I've always found things like that to be hilarious for all the wrong reasons. Seems like a general trend of the lack of personal accountability. Someone kills a bunch of people after playing a game or listening to some death metal and all of a sudden "Oh the game made them do it". Maybe it's more a symptom of people not wanting to believe someone can just be crazy, or that people can just turn evil (so to speak, though I hesitate using the word, I believe it communicates the meaning well enough). If you play a game, and then go out and kill a bunch of people. Then chances are you were already fucked in the head. People tend to neglect the fact that a huge amount of people play the same games, and don't go kill a bunch of people! How about that!! :D
Kind of makes you want to grab ahold of people, shake them and go "Listen, people go do things like this sometimes, and sometimes there is no reason. It may not be the best world. It might be fucked, but it's ours. Wake the fuck up and live in it instead of blaming everything under the sun."
