We have a small farm. The house was only half finished when we purchased it in 2001. This means we have multiple lists. Long term high dollar lists like a 4 seasons second floor porch/deck and a completely finished lower level. Then there are the long term high dollar lists that are wants, unsure if it will ever happen. Like an addition with two more bedrooms and a bath for better guest comfort. And an addition of a really spa like masterbath. Also the never ending quest for more land, not to mention my desire for a "real horse barn" Medium term lists like, the ongoing evolution of my gardens and landscaping which will never end. A small pond, stuff like that. Then there are the must do sometime in the next year or so, like a new roof. And lastly the ongoing cyclic lists. Here are some that are closing in on me right now. Replace the bottom tier of wire on the electric fencing in the upper(winter) pasture. Clean out the horse barn (with shovel and wheel barrow) and put down fresh lime. Wack the weeds in the upper horse pasture with a sickle. God that is getting harder and harder every year! New waterproofing on wooden walkway and porch. Winter supply of hay in. Clean garage. (where much of the hay gets stored....it is an extra huge garage) Install new doors ( main and storm) on back entrance. Harvest orchard bounty and process. (freeze peaches, apples into applesauce, hickory nuts shelled and stored) Paint section of livingroom wall that got water damaged during storm with straightline winds. Get pellet burner cleaned and ready for winter, and find a place for the two tons of pellets that it burns. Late fall I prune the young trees and rosebushes, then spread composted horse poo on all the flower beds and in the orchard. It really never ends.
