It's the frying in a pressure cooker that does the trick, If you go to any garage sales, or auctions look for the old pressure cookers where you can latch down the top and adjust the pressure with a valve.  The new ones suck unless you get one from a proffessional rest supplier

Just adjust the pressure to the level you like, you will also find it will cook the chicken in about 1/4 of the time

aynne...i'm not against fois gras...i happen to love it.  but i have to say something when people bash one form of food production being worse than another.  i think if we knew the intracacies of meat production in general it might put us off a bit, but the carnivore in me isn't so sure, so who the fuck knows?

I know what you are saying. I think my issue is more with the incredible power these fast food giants have versus a smaller organic type producer like Hudson Valley. The guys at McD's or KFC are just too huge too care, and are not about to change any of their barbaric practices, and then it extends to include the way billions of animals are treated and inhumanely slaughtered, and it turns into this giant debate.  I am a huge carnivore, love meat, but I do try and make certain I am not contributing to stuff like that. Impossible to do 100%, but I attempt anyway.

yes, the giant corporations are out of touch.  i'm not sure if the smaller companies are that way or not.  i hate seeing anything cruel as far as animals go, but the carnivore in me sure does like to eat them.  i don't know where the balance lies.

This is even more disturbing to me than the rat myth because this is entirely true. KFC is an abomination.

So were the rats fresh, or frozen  ?

These are all reasons I've gone vegetarian.
The surprise bonus is how much energy I've got since I changed over and how good the food tastes now.
The pain in the butt is I have to take the effort to organise myself and not just eat whatever on a whim.

What I'd like to know is where I can get the buns that KFC use, and th sauce they put on their Chicken Fillet burgers. That is some tasty shiz.

And yes, I mean the exact same sauce, not just 'mayonaise' :P

Me too Christine. Then some of the places I would like to patronize more make it financially so difficult to do, I really would like to see the whole "organic" food scene get a little more realistic price wise. I think the balance lies in exactly the way you think, you are aware and conscious of it, and you make the best choices you can. Because no way in hell am I giving up eating meat.

Advising the buying of an old pressure cooker at a yard sale and trying to fry something  in it is a good way to get someone serously hurt.
