shygirlyboy -> New sub in (quite soon) Montreal (7/29/2008 11:55:57 AM)

Hello, Collarme!

I joined CM about a month ago and am gradually starting to make use of it. I'm 21, inexperienced, a big movie lover, I'm going to be starting my BFA this year after years of deciding. Currently living near Ottawa.

I don't know what else to add about my interests that wouldn't already be in my profile. I'm submissive but not masochistic (I don't think) and I love to crossdress (would LOVE help with it!) but lately I've been thinking what I'm really looking for is some friends in the Montreal area before I move there.

I'm also into anime and I loves me my games… but don't take it to mean I'm an otaku, please! D:

EDIT: ah, so that does sound kinda like a personals ad. Ahhh, this is hard!!

I started crossdressing when I was about 12 or 13 but it has almost always been behind closed doors.

I took a traditional animation course in college for a couple of years and got turned off by having my skills pigeonholed into what was essentially a glorified desk job. I didn't need to go to college to learn how to work on an assembly line (basic structure of an animation production) so I applied what I'd learned there to my portfolio and got into a fine arts program. I am so excited I don't know what to do with myself for last month in Ottawa! Suddenly, the city doesn't seem so boring to me.

What else—I admire artists such as Egon Schiele and Andy Warhol but also contemporary artists like Ashley Wood, Yoshitaka Amano, Jenny Saville, Takashi Murakami, and Andrew "Android" Jones (whom I adore). I usually hate most forms of conceptual art because it is no longer relevant, has become post-ironic and pretentious.

That's all I can think of. Read what you can!

Welcome to the forums. You sound like you're an interesting guy with a lot to offer-I hope you have luck here. You're isn't an easy road: Mistresses are rare enough, and finding ones that are interested in CD even tougher. Good luck with your MFA, and hope to see you elsewhere in the forums (although hopefully you have tough skin, they can get snarky!)

Well, actually it's just my BFA, but thanks all the same! I'll try to keep my chin up.

Hello and welcome to CM, shygirlyboy! I'm down in Saint Catharines, in the Niagara region so a bit of distance from you but you'll find plenty of other Canadians on the site. There's a large community in the GTA though I haven't heard about Montreal. I'm a Miyazaki fan myself and am thrilled that he's returning to a traditional pen and ink style.

Since you're new to the forums, feel free to drop by the Polls and Random Stupidity section. It's what you might call the fun section and we don't take things too serious there. It's a great place to get to know people while reading the various forums. [sm=lol.gif]  And yes, it can get snarky at times but usually, not always, but usually it's because someone has put their ass-hat on, put out the troll mat, or just been plain stupid. Not always though... It does help to have a thick skin.

Good luck on your BFA!
