Status: offline 		An excerpt of something that I wanted to hear comments on:

She cupped his head delicately in her hands as she peered deeply into his eyes.

"What is it treasured one?"  the Master whispered.

She tried to look away, but could not.  Trembling she replied, "I have never looked into the face of perversion long enough, to see the soul behind it."

His eyes flashed with lascivious anger until he felt the tear... and saw the soft glow of her smile.  His gaze grew intense.  "What do you see?"

"I see your heart... my mind..... given and received... togther one... One soul ablaze."

I love poetry, I love using words to bring the everyday to a higher plane of existence to express something, but it's important that we remember to retranslate it out of this high speech and back into the everyday.

I agree.  I also believe in taking what wisdom or truth we can away with us and applying it appropriately.

I couldn't agree more. It's important for context that we compare such experiences with other experiences.

But while achieving understanding is important, nothing wrong with taking a moment to seriously reflect on and appreciate the intensity of the emotion being communicated via the flowery words.

It's a bit of a shame when the threads presenting poems turn to cynical mockery of the words themselves. People get too caught up in the surface and miss out on what's really important. The experience itself that is being expressed.

I'm not advocating admissions of hearts of slaves and gifts of submission in our educational discussions, but hey..time and a place for everything.

Status: offline 		Thanks for understanding at least partially why I posted this.  I did not intend it for wank fodder (but by all means.... Hehe).  I had hoped it would make for interesting conversation about the relationship itself and the various ideas it may be addressing.  I am glad some are moved by the piece as well!

Status: offline 		I found it a bit confusing.  Whose tear did he feel?  Is there such a thing as lascivious anger?  And if so, would a moment like that truly bring it about?  I don't see a heart for a mind as a fair exchange.

It is definitely prose that makes one stop and think, and wonder about one's own relationship, but too much rang false.  If I see a man with a lascivious look I never tie it in with either the heart or the mind, but with the little guy which seems to overrule both.

It's like seeing a rainbow, which is a fiction of light, it doesn't really exist.  A trick of light when water droplets act like a prism.  But what does it hurt to gaze upon a rainbow and feel a feeling of hope and promise?

This snippet of prose moved you and you dared to share it.  While my home is in a shambles of moving boxes, packing materials, toil and stress, it was nice to read a rainbow.  Thanks.

People "see" what they "feel".... regardless if it is actually there or not
