Vincent Bugliosi's opening statements during the House Judiciary Committee hearing on the constitutional limits of executive power.

Vincent Bugliosi received his law degree in 1964. In his career at the L.A. County District Attorney’s office, he successfully prosecuted 105 out of 106 felony jury trials, including 21 murder convictions without a single loss. His most famous trial, the Charles Manson case, became the basis of his classic, Helter Skelter, the biggest selling truecrime book in publishing history. Two of Bugliosi’s other books—And the Sea Will Tell and Outrage—also reached #1 on the New York Times hardcover bestseller list. No other American true-crime writer has ever had more than one book that achieved this ranking.

Would you ever want to be on the other side of a courtroom from him?

I really do wonder how broad GWB is going to make his own pardon.

Clinton did the same thing in Kosovo, Bosnia, Haiti and E. Timor.
(Remember Clinton's term, "Peacekeepers";  "Ethnic Cleansing?")
It's just a matter of which "murderer"  you like the best.
The U.S. needs to become much more isolationist and knock off this Imperialism shit!
We're not "Peacekeepers!!!"
You don't get involved in someone else's bar fight do you?

Slvemike, I'm from an Irish Catholic Boston, Mass blue collar family.
Years ago I tried to break up a drunken brawl in the backyard by two of my younger brothers.
BOTH of them beat the living snot out of me and continued to beat on each other for another ten minutes I reckon.
I ended up going to the hospital and had a cast on my lower arm for the next six weeks.
"Mind yer own fuckin' business, Tommy!" They told me.

You're very much welcome. See if Amazon's got a cheap copy of Elizabeth de la Vega's book on criminal indictment, too.

The Bush Henchmen are the clearest example I've seen of the real nature of this two class society. One set of laws for all of us ------- and the Loyal Bushies can break whatever laws they choose with impunity...

The was a thread on Digg a few days ago about the guys in Ohio who got arrested outside the country club where they went to try to Citizen's Arrest Karl Rove, and it's interesting to think that there's still State Law they're accountable under, and I can imagine one or two techniques for actually getting felony complaints filed in court, but since we're just ------- and they're the Masters, that's the way it is.
