That makes it a lot scarier... if this happens with a competent airline, just imagine what can happen on one of the worn-out pieces of crap that the perpetually-bankrupt U.S. airlines stuff people into! [&:]
Seems to me that with complete lack of privacy that airline customers get, in return we should get to audit the maintenance records for the craft we're flying on... Fine, i'll prove i'm not carrying anything more dangerous than a pencil eraser, if you'll prove that this Nixon-era bus with wings isn't going to fall apart on the trip!
