Profile pictures have certain rules.  The rules are to protect users and CM alike.

My Pet and I play World of Warcraft together and have a collection of screenshots of us.  Bashfully, I ask...

If we took them ourselves, are they objectionable due to the copywritten material clause?  Are they copywritten?

That's an interesting question. I would suggest writing to support and asking.

Pictures of you?  Or of your avatars? I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere on the WOW site it doesn't claim ownership of those avatars.

Most of the game companies allow you to post screenshots on another site as long as it is not for profit... the EULA of each company varies.  Not to mention the liability that Collarme is willing to be "exposed" to, they might just play it safe and say NO.  I guess the only real answer would have to come from them, as was already suggested.

...you may be animating those avatars, but you didn't design them.......the images are not your own work, only the things you do with them.

I wouldn;t make a blanket statement on copyright on something like this.  Poeple get married on things like that and FF and so it's pretty much down to the terms of the site.  You would have to check out to see if it's public usage or not.  Sites usually have info on such.  If you go into youtube you would see thousands of videos created by people using avatar screen shots.
Their is also the whole percentage issue - like if you took the images and super imposed them/layered them on something else, what percentage is used.

The main issue is where you want to use them.  CM wouldn't accept them as your primary image and you might find it difficult on the secondary too.
