what's the big deal?  if you want to add them do it.  if you dont' want to, don't do it.  i added friends on my profile because i wanted to.

I always decline and have added none. And I do have a myspace page and it's the same thing there; never add or be added.

As for  my 2 cents worth here ......I look at their profile... if it is some one I could see as being a friend I add... but if you look I only have 2 .. soo  you can do the math .

Thanks everyone for responding

OOPS about the ignore ... the poll was a knee jerk reaction ... didn't give it much thought really.

I still don't get why a 25year old Dom would as a first contact ask me to be his 'friend'!

'Friends' are people who are important to me and i to them and we know that.  Like some of those that answered, i don't need to post my friends up.  However when looking at someone new and i see they know someone i know ... it tempers my reaction to them ... if their friends are mine it's a positve and if their friends and i have had problems, it's negative ... shame really because we should assess people on how they treat us, not who they associate with ... but that's fantasy land ..

again thank you one and all ... another curiosity answered ....

cheers j
