Okay.. latest news.. Jacob's already being a pain in the ass! The docs put the girl child on pitocin about an hour ago to try to help things along. Her contractions stopped but because her water broke they won't let her go home. We're hoping for emergence sometime today though with the help of the pitocin (for the guys or gals who don't know what that is.. basically it's a labor inducer to make contractions more productive or kick start them). She got to 6 in dialation, but we're into the 24th hour already which is actually normal for her. Her average labor to date has been about 35 hours so we're not sweating here yet .. well, I'm not.. her husband is not in quite as a good shape. ::chuckles:: I'll let you know when to break out the cigars!

Oh.. and Mike.. you're just too cute! ::laughs:: Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'm a little tired because I didn't sleep very well last night so I don't have quite as much bounce in my ounce, but I'm still in a GREAT mood .. much better than the girl child who is growling and very pissed off right now! ::laughs:: She gets that way when she doesn't get food. I told her husband to throw her some raw meat but he said he's afraid of her.

And if it was to be a Girl

Jade Alexandria

Josophine Alexandria
Justine Alexandria

We setteled on something following the Alexander trend however the middle name was always to be Alexander or Alexandria.

We just liked the JA combination.

True that, Katy. She had a bitch of a time with her first one and was on pitocin for about 12 hours. With the water breaking over 24 hours ago and the contractions stopped, they really had no choice though. :( Thanks for the well wishes.

Tell Your girl child we are all waiting on her,and to move it along....just kidding Celeste,though we are waiting for the good news(20 years ago while sitting in the hospital,waiting for the Doctor's to induce labor in my ex,she went into labor on her own accord,many ours later my one and only was born)

gotta love those babies that take their own sweet time. poor lil guy probably decided to take a nap, lol! pictocin is no fun, i hated it! turns out i never did dialate and the boy arrived out the emergency exit. i have 4 boys and not a one arrived the normal way, one by c section, three by social worker, lol!
best of luck for a quick(er) labor, a healthy mom and baby and happy grandparenting!

Lil Mutt broke the water balloon 5 weeks early and we went through similar things. It all worked out extremely well and he's a 7 year old lady killer now. I'm sure Jacob will do just as well.

Okay, the plane was delayed but .. He's here! Cigars for everyone! Has all the right body parts in all the right places, tons of dark hair and my son said he looks just like the Daddy and is just about as loud! 8 lbs 2 oz, 20.5" arrived on the redeye about 2 AM this morning. Mommy is tired but intact and quite happy to get rid of the basketball from her tummy.

Thanks so much for the well wishes everyone! Just a quick note, too. We're leaving for Europe on Saturday and when I get back I'm heading straight to CA to meet Jake offline! (I just hate that cyber stuff even with Skype!) It's really busy around here but I might pop in a few times before Saturday if I can. Otherwise, see ya when I see ya!

Oh.. and don't forget ..
