yes the long awaited game of the century is arriving....likely with no monthly fee! diablo 1 and 2 were free.  and you could actually DIE in Diablo 2 under "hardcore".  you cannot die in world of warcraft.

let us start to build a guild of cmer's for diablo 3.  plenty of time to save up for the game and upgrade any computer parts.  atleast 4 months away before it is released and likely even longer than that.

but atleast now you can preview the game.  so go look!

SOOO in.  <CM>Keeper

I play WoW, but every few months I get that D2 itch to start a character from scratch, get some loot, then dump it all to some lowbie... I'm amazed the D2 population actually exists.

Diablo games pride themselves on being entertaining for a three minute sitting or a three week sitting.  Perfect for my needs these days.  World of Warcraft is too much of a time sink, with anything inportant taking at least 1.5 hours.

Heh, the Diablo III announcement got me in the mood for playing Diablo... So I started playing Diablo II again, for the first time in years. (Made a couple new characters on US East)

I'll definitely be getting Diablo III when it comes out.. which will probably be next year or the year after, but, hey.

A friend of mine beta'd for WH... He is the biggest WH fan you could imagine. Table top game, read EVERY book, RTS/FPS, everything. His fanatical devotion to the lore could not overpower how much he hated the gameplay. It was a sad day for us both. I hope they keep WH off the shelves until they fix it.

I confess to being a geek and having seen that already too.  I loved Cain's collective diary.  I can't wait to play D3.  We have a LAN party and play D2 LoD once a year to this day.  Speaking of which,,, Lucvar,,, I hear the game calling us. It's about that time of year again.

You say that, like it's a bad thing.

D3 does look good, might have to check it out.

whats the point if the game has no challenge??? that is why diablo2 hardcore was good.  it was actually hard to build a character unless you already had items to help.  even then if you died at like level 75...you were really pissed because you lost all them awesome items.   i always played it solo cept for the first 20 levels which you could do fast in a group for a new char on d2.

i think i'm in the stone age as far as video games go...my son begged me to race him in some new mario game;  it took him about 10 minutes to explain the control unit to me and then, i still could barely keep my motorcycle on the road.  i do have to say, i was laughing my ass off the whole time.

Yeah, my friend and i were driving home from a con and somehow Diablo 2 became the topic of conversation. The next day we decided to make some new characters, but low an behold what did we find? Ladder had just reset. Needless to say we pulled a marathon.

Soo... good thing this is in the off topic section. But yeah, i'm game! rawrz!1!
