So, I had to get my industrial re-done because it got infected while I was out of the country (didn't have the right soap...), then I had to take it out for a CT and it closed up on me.

Sigh.

Anyway, the person that I had doing is a friend who is apprenticing. However, her boyfriend, who has been piercing/ tattooing for quite some time was there the entire duration and made sure she did everything she needed to do, etc.

Well, I had it done Monday and even when she put the needle through, I thought, "WOW! this sure hurts a lot more than last time.. that sucks."

It's now been 6 days and counting and the thing is so sensitive I can hardly clean it. No, it's not infected; it is a little red, but there is no discharge, swelling ,etc. It's just really ridiculously sensitive.

I think it could be a number of things... She did it in the same spots, so there is scar tissue fighting with the rings; she did it at a different angle than last time, and because of this she had some trouble getting one of the rings in, so she was yanking on my ear.

Anyway, my question is, I bought some analgesic stuff from CVS tonight, but it's not exactly cutting the trick. I just need it to not be so sensitive so I can clean and rotate the rings really well.

Any thoughts? All help is MUCH appreciated :-D

Not sure if I can embed pictures in here...? anyway, it's the little bar at the top of the ear, so there are two piercings to achieve one "look".

Ahh, ok.  :)
Hmm, well i have a few piercings in my ear, not the bar, but there are times when even the one piercing up high bothers me, and the one in another spot on my ear (cant think of the name of the place).........and it's been years. i think its due to laying it on it sometimes. Wondering....how about pouring alcohol over it for at least a day, if you really need to and let it settle down? No expert here.... but sounds like it needs to calm down.
Good luck with it !

that's most definitely a thought... It's easier to turn and rotate in the shower, as the skin has had some time to moisten up... But it's really bugging me.  I really don't want to take it out, but if this crap keeps up, there's no way..

Meh... Nevermind. I'm gonna get it taken out tomorrow :( It looks like it's starting to streak or something... Maybe I'll let it heal up for six months or so and try again. *sigh*

funny how fashion is.  when I see ww2 ww1 fashion, and todays fashion, i think back to 70s-80s and how that was my time.  piercoings are ruining the porn watching experience. have you seen a penis with 6 rings on it?  between over pierce and overly tattood- it to me looks,  unbecoming.   IMO some take it to the point of defacing the body.

Good call about removing it.

blood poisoning is BAD, and worse if it'sin the head.

I ended up removing all my upper ear/ cartilage peircing because they gave me no end of grief, even years after getting them.

as for peircings ruining porn.... I tend to disagree. They can certainly be overdone, and aren't to everyones taste.

I do love a nice shiny hood ornament tho....

lol. I'm going in a few to the piercing shop to let them look at it and see what exactly is going on.

I have another single cartilage on the other side and I agree, Amadan, it was sore for quite a while after I had it done... And even when I had the industrial the first time it was sore, but I can't even rotate the freakin' rings. Ugggghhhhh. Teh painz. ;-)

As far as porn goes... idk. I'm kind of into a "natural"/ "reality" feel (weird, seeing as how I have multiple piercings and tattoos.. lol), so I'm not sure how I feel about it. Too many is bad, obviously, but I think a few little tasteful ones are nice. Especially if they're not totally cliche like a belly button. Not trying to talk down to anyone that has one, but pretty much every girl in my age group has one and constantly feels the need to show it off ;-)

- on porn.. some of the "actors" are so phony.  Lets take cops. When they are holding a gun.  FAKE.

I am glad that people have a choice to do tatts and pierce. I have one tatt, ild consider maybe 2 more.  no peircings for me.  it actually was a big decission to get the tatt. i am glad i did.

man having the balls sack peirced is much. im not interested in the jewerly- lemme at the tool!!!
