Good evening,
I have a question regarding mail on the other side. To send e-mails do you have to have an active profile and if so why would you get a note stating the user does not have an active profile? Do you get that message when they send the e-mail then delete or hide the profile?

My profile is deactivated. I can still send email to anyone who is active and anyone who has an email from me in their mailbox can send to me by replying to that saved email.

It's either spam (someone who created a profile and sent the same message to the masses) or someone who lost their nerve (they created a profile, and then after sleeping on it, decided they weren't quite desperate enough for online dating- or didn't want to be found on Collar Me or whatever lame excuse they had, so they deleted themselves).

Either way- you can't reach them again unless they come back.

When I deactivated my profile, friends whom I had met on collar me told me that they couldn't contact me that way....

They cant initiate contact with you, but Aileen is correct, they can respond to your emails.

I have gotten some nasty comment type of email from users who then deactivate their profile. I can tell that because when I feel like sending off a pissy response, I get the message profile not active, message not sent.
