You multiculturalists really have a lot to answer for.  Not content with ruining our way of life, now they are into the game of faking evidence of WMDs.

Anyone hear the truth about the Iranian missiles?

OOPS....

Arpig -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 11:02:32 AM)

WTF does this have to do with multi-culturalism??

kdsub -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 11:11:10 AM)

I have no idea what RealityLicks is talking about but to me it says...They are not very smart or competent and will soon, if they don't have already, nuclear weapons...and that scares me.

Yep Arpig, I was wondering the same thing myself.  Reality, did you have a few drinks this morning?

No, not yet, although it is evening here.  Or else I couldn't say "extemperaneous intertextuality" with out slurring.

hic.

Okay Reality, that's cool.  I was just wondering.  It sounded like you were a little angry.  I still don't see the connection between this story and multiculturalism.

Thadius -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 12:14:12 PM)

I am a bit confused at why a single frame photo, is being used as evidence of the missile launches being "fake"?  With the smoke and stirred up earth, you cant see any of the launchers anyways...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/07/09/AR2008070902395.html

9 missiles were launched with the first tests, I haven't seen anything official on the number that were launched in today's test.

Where is the tinfoil hat disspenser?

RealityLicks -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 12:56:18 PM)

It's not so much that the launches are fake but that the Iranians have photoshopped some images to conceal the fact that one of the missiles in the big sabre-rattling contest failed to launch.  Proof, if any were needed, that those who govern in any country are usually shabby operators.

Thanks for the clarification.  The sad part (possibly) is that I think it is unavoidable, now.  Israel is going to strike the reactors, and whatever else is on their target list, whether we like it or not.  If I had to guess, I would say sometime in Sept. would be the target time, for a multitude of obvious reasons (politics being one of the biggest).

I would like to disagree with you, but I'm afraid you are right.

It's just a matter of time before that whole area get's fucked up even more than it is now (if that is possible)

Thadius -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 1:39:50 PM)

I honestly wish I was wrong about this as well.

RealityLicks -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 2:31:12 PM)

Israel is unlikely to be involved, its far too big a job.  The US have trained MEK insurgents who will be supported by special forces on the ground and will launch a massive air attack.  The diplomacy is all a front.

Of course, nuclear weapons inspectors cleaning out Israel and Iran and the institution of a regional non-proliferation treaty will never be discussed seriously.  That wouldn't guarantee America control of the oil.

I agree with you about the possibilities of a regional non-proliferation treaty ever being a reality.

However, I do believe it will be Israel (with our support) that carries out the air strikes.  Just like they did to Iraq.  For many reasons, it makes sense for Israel to do it, most of all the other nations in the region fear Iran being a nuclear power, and Israel would make the perfect front for taking them out.  The other nations could in public claim outrage, while in the private chambers celebrate that it was done.  Not to mention that any retalitation would be an open invitation for the US to unleash hell, and distract Iran from other activities (blocking the traffic in the straight).

Of course this is just my opinion, but I would rate it at a somewhat educated guess.

RealityLicks -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 2:54:13 PM)

There are hundreds of strikes needed, Israel will maybe handle a nominal amount.  The US will probably do more with cruise missiles.

And naturally, this is no more than my opinion and I'll happily - no, ecstatically - celebrate being wrong.

But your gov't seems set on this vile course and apparently there is no real popular opposition.  Cheap gasoline carries the day.

Leatherist -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 2:57:51 PM)

There is a biblical implication that Armageddon will be triggered when Damscus falls. I wonder if the fire from on high will be coming a little sooner than that.

Thadius -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 3:11:30 PM)

Armegeddon is a location, not an occurence.  It is as Napoleon decribed, the perfect battlefield, as history shows many fierce battles were fought there in the valley shadowed by Mount Megiddo.

As for biblical implications, perhaps looking at the descriptions of the rise of the beast, and who fits that description might be more appropriate right now,  for that rise to power has to occur prior to the final battle.  If one was to take biblical prophecies to be a serious matter, I could see how the point might be made that the table is being set.

I wish you well,
Thadius

RealityLicks -> RE: multi multi missile culture (7/10/2008 3:16:52 PM)

Well, I'm not a believer in fables but there is an interesting thread to your prophesy.  Armageddon is Megiddo and  the taking of Damascus won the Battle of Megiddo and gave Palestine to the British.
