Fear is driving rabbit owners in Germany to lock up their pets at night after a spate of brutal bunny slayings in which pets have been beheaded and drained of blood.

The perpetrator seems to me to be a single individual, with a hunter and killer instinct. Does he consume the rabbit blood? He or she probably buys his own rabbits as well, or is too young to do so. Is not inclined to burglary nor theft, other than gaining access to the rabbits. Probably young, say between seven and seventeen. Likely male. May not have friends. Local. Likely good in sports. Behaviour may exacerbate into something extremely serious when he gets older.

I heard the report on the news and looked into the net to see more information.
According to investigations, they believe that the individual is using satalite images to ascertain the properties that have hutches. That I find quite disturbing.
The police seem to believe the blood is being collected, not wasted or consumed on the scene. Their concern is that the individual will progress to humans.

When I lived in Key West I became somewhat familiar with Santeria practices because it is common in the Cuban culture there. Lots of weird things would happen there concerning blood and animal sacrifices. Various animals, blood and other Santeria ceremonial objects often would be found in the cemetary, on peoples doorsteps and even in court rooms . Because it was so common and understood to be a part of some peoples beliefs, it was treated as no big deal, simply because it was not unusual.

I'm not, of course, suggesting that this type of thing is going on in the OP story , but, perhaps it should be considered, instead of assuming that a future mass murder is learning his/her chops.

I habe four theories:

#1) It is space aliens... After mastering interstellar travel and coming here they have exhausted all of the knowledge that can be gleaned from a rednecks rectum. They then moved on to cattle mutilation and now bunny vampirism....

#2) It is the fault of unchecked Mexican immigration. The Chupacabra has come north and upon discovering that most people dont keep goats has moved on to rabbits.

#3) Where is that bitch from Fatal Attraction? She is a known bunny boiler LOL

#4) Barrack Obama is actually a vampire and those under his spell are now drinking bunny blood...
