Hi, all,

I've been lurking here a bit for the last couple of weeks. I'm a straight male, long interested in BDSM, but have never really acted on that interest until now. I mean, there have been a few times where I've used cuffs and ropes as part of a sexual encounter, but that was pretty much it. Now I'd like to explore it a little further. I don't THINK that I'm looking for a 24/7, total immersion into the lifestyle, but more like expanding my sexual repertoire. I truly am not sure if I'm a dom or a switch. I very much like the idea of control but, in the right circumstances, being controlled might be fun, too.

Here's my dilemma. How does one BECOME a dom (or the dom part of a switch)? I mean, just saying you're a dom clearly doesn't make you one. How does one practically go about developing that side? It seems that most of the women submissives on this site who are looking for someone are looking for experienced, established doms. It doesn't seem like they're open to tutoring newbies. So how do I get from here to there?

Actually, you're in a good location... look into munches in the area (I don'thave links, but I'm sure someone will come along with some..) also google MastersQuest..theyre in your area, and I believe they put on demos and workshops. I KNOW that the Woodshed in Orlando does. These are all good ways to meet local people, and to gain knowledge and skills :)
