I just joined this site (among others) to get to know more about BDSM. Its something I've thought about for a long time but haven't really had anybody who I felt comfortable asking about it. I started reading about it out of curiosity when I was stressed out and distracted and I guess it was oddly... relaxing. Then finals, work, and lease negotiations came up and lo and behold here I am.

In a lot of ways I guess I've always been a sub insofar as I'm more of a follower than a natural leader, I enjoy service oriented work, and trust means a lot to me. Right now I'm really interested in talking with other people about their experiences and generally wrapping my mind around the whole thing. Don't think I'd be up for any encounters yet but I love to chat with just about anybody.

Welcome to the forums. Take your time getting to know people and if you don't feel ready to meet anyone yet than listen to your instincts. Maybe see if there is a group nearby for younger bdsm'ers ....I think it may be called TES? Enjoy your time here.
