lol yw.

Now everytime I see something I can't afford...I ask the salesman if it comes in blue.

Problem is...what to do when he says YES.  Then I'm screwed.

And this is where the beauties are being manufactured.

There was a terrific episode of Ultimate Factories, on the National Geographic channel, on the building of the beasts: http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/series/ultimate-factories/2895/Overview#tab-Photos/0

Nice, but I'm missing the "The Transparent Factory".

I never trust a car that smiles at me.[8|]

Sexxxxxxy..........better than the new Camaro we looked at.

Level, I appreciate your interest in cars (I'll never understand it frankly)....a buddy of mine tried to explain it to me once....(I'm into computers....rather hugely)....

Finally he said once "(Gris), imagine you had in front of you an entire room, 10' x 10', with a fully climate controlled system, wired to every room in your house, the most incredible computer system you'd ever dreamt about, every gadget you could ever imagine was controlled by that system....every electrical outlet had it's own address....you could make every device in the building do your bidding....and every 18 months it was entirely revamped to recognize the latest possible software and CPU that was available....how would you feel about that system?"

And I said....

"Tom....that is the FINEST looking Mustang I have EVER seen in my entire life!!!!!!!!"

There you go, Gris [;)]

I don't know what it is.... they're beautiful. The lines..... the feel of the shifter, and the steering wheel..... the precise "click" of the ignition as it's turned, followed instantly by the thrum of the engine as it wells to life around you.... floating down the interstate as your favorite tunes play......

Just nice.

That is why I really liked that Cadillac commercial.

"Let me ask you something, when you turn your car on, does it return the favor."

Level -> RE: Sneak peek at the new Ferrari (6/29/2008 5:19:49 PM)

Exactly! [:D]

FR:  Ah, level, she is a beauty.  About price?  This is the new "entry level" Ferrari, you all realize.  With the scaled-down V8 and a goal to increase Ferrari sales world-wide, the target price is "significantly below" the F430, which clocks in at $190,000 in the ever-weakening US dollar.   Believe it or not, the "target" on this car is $130,000.  We will see.   I fear that with the recession Bushleague is going to leave us, most of the 10,000 cars that Ferrari wants to sell in 2009 will go to China and the Arab states (sigh).

Then again, one of this beauty's name-sake (the only REAL Ferrari "California") sold earlier this year for a modest $11 Million.    My advice?  Buy 3 of the new Californias.   Drive one, and put the other two up on blocks so your grandkids won't ever have to work again.

E.

Thadius -> RE: Sneak peek at the new Ferrari (6/29/2008 5:32:53 PM)

I would venture a guess, that if I had enough to purchase 3 of them with the idea of storing 2 of them, that my grandchildren would not be hurting financially.  Then again I can be a selfish prick, and might just go on a month long bender in Vegas.

Thanks for the info though.  I really hadn't even thought about the combination of rising fuel prices + the falling value of the dollar, and what consequences are surely to follow.

Do you name your cars after women?  Say pin-up models from back in the day?

Your link worked, Level.  I bought a lotto ticket when I stopped for milk earlier.

Though I have to wonder if the retractable hardtop works right more often than not.

Smith117 -> RE: Sneak peek at the new Ferrari (6/30/2008 6:50:19 AM)

I always hated those cadillac commercials. Sure the chick was hot, but I think the driver in the commercial should have been a guy. Personally, I've never known a woman who, after a mere 3 months of new-car ownership didn't have the car completely trashed out.

Danica Patrick was always the "one exception" I could point to in my bias toward women drivers..... But that was until she plowed into the pit crewman in one race and then hit another driver coming out of the pit in another race.
