slavegirljoy -> Positive Plan of Action Pays Off...... (6/27/2008 4:09:50 PM)

Go out into the garden and say, "Give me some vegetables and then I will water and weed you." and, what do you think will happen?  Nothing.  The veggies will not just jump into your arms or basket.  You have to do something, first.  You have be proactive, rather than reactive, in order to reap what you want from your garden.  You have to tend the garden.  You have to till the soil, plant the seeds, water it, weed it, protect it from pests and then, pick the "fruits" (veggies) of your labor.  (Okay, sure, you can go into someone else's garden and steal their veggies but, that's just wrong, in my opinion.  Or, you can go buy them from someone who has already done the work but, it will cost you more and you still need to do something to have the money to buy them.)

The same is true for reaping what you want from life.

Sitting back and wanting it to just fall into your lap is a nonproductive waste of time and, time is your most precious and limited resource.  You have a limited amount of time on Earth and no one knows how much or little you have.

Wishing for things will not get you any closer to having them than going into the garden and wanting the veggies to just come to you will.  When you do that, you just end up feeling hungry and disappointed.  It's just a waste of time.

Instead:

Make your time count.

First, figure out what you need from life, in order for you to be the best you that you can be and to achieve the highest quality of life that you desire for yourself.  In my opinion, this is the most effective way for you to have the fulfilling life that you desire and to be able to give your best to someone else.  Ask yourself what's missing from your life that is keeping you from feeling fulfilled, happy, content, etc.

Then, make it happen.

Define the steps that you need to take to get from where you are now to where you want to be.  Shortcuts can sometimes get you there faster but, know that they can also lead to a dead end and you might need to make a u-turn and backtrack to get back on your path and continue moving forward.

Stay with it, even when life throws some road blocks up in front of you.  These are temporary setbacks and may slow you down but, they need not keep you from your goal.  Just find an alternate route, develop a Plan B (or, better yet, have one to begin with, just in case) or, wait it out, if it's something that will likely be resolved in a short time.  Delays are frustrating but, they don't have to be the total doom of all that you have worked toward.

Believe in your goal and in your ability to achieve it.  If you give up on your goal or yourself, you might as well give up on life.  As my Master says, "If you quit, you lose."

This is the plan of action that i used to achieve my goal of finding the fulfilling Master/slave relationship that i am in today and that continues to grow and satisfy me in every way imaginable.  This is also the way that my magnificent Master was able to achieve His goal to buy a beautiful home for He and i and our family to live in, happily, peacefully, and securely for the rest of our lives.  It has taken Him just about 2 1/2 years, from the time that He stated this as a goal, to actually achieving it.  There were setbacks along the way but, He never lost sight of His goal and He never gave up on it.  And, now we are in our home and it is even more beautiful that either He or i ever imagined.

Our goals were not achieved by being lucky.  They were achieved by following a plan and not giving up on it and by believing in ourselves and our goals and by believing in the divine power of a God that provides for all that we need, so long as we humble ourselves before Him and ASK for His divine intervention in our lives.  (Understandingly, not everyone believes in God and, therefore, such a belief may not be a part of everyone else's plans of action but, it is a part of mine and my Master's.)

Does anyone else use a similar plan for achieving goals or do you use some other method?  Are there other steps that you would include or change in this plan?  Is there anything that you disagree with about this plan?  Please share your thoughts and feelings.   Differences in opinion and viewpoint are encouraged.

Because i believe in the power of putting forth positive energy, i offer this with the sincere hope that it will be of some help to someone else........

I read EVERYTHING you said....

Wow!, my hat's off to you!  It was a much longer post than i had intended to write.

Thank you.  And, i have to say that the quote under your post, "The man on the top of the mountain didn't just fall there.", fits very nicely with the theme of this post.  i've never heard that one before and i really like it.

Thank you, again.  But, there's no need for me to sue you.  The picture is there for a reason, to be looked at.  And, not just by the guys.  There's been a girl or two who have also enjoyed them.  Besides, i'm just happy someone read what i had to say and actually liked it.[:)]
