ORIGINAL: camille65 There are a few friends that have them, and love them. Rave about them lol. So I guess it depends on your level of rice cooking and comfort zone. They tend to take up a lot of room too. I don't have any problems cooking rice. I don't ever use that instant stuff, I buy huge burlap sacks of the stuff. Make sure you rinse your rice off. Don't lift the lid! Yeah, I'll buy at least 10 pounds at a time of some varieties. Love rice. Right now I have aged Basmati, Idli (also India), Forbidden (black), Bhutanese Red, Jasmine, Texmati, Lundgren organic brown, Carneroli, Arborio, Asahi, Thai sticky, and just plain old Louisiana long grain. Like to cook some rices with coconut milk or grated coconut (try grated coconut, grated carrot, and a bit of butter added after cooking the rice. Tasty). Also with some fresh grated ginger or galangal. It's the only grain which doesn't produce gas.
