Never made a sympathetic remark about Hitler and the Nazis? For your edification, from the Chicago Tribune August 25, 1977, his column: "Those of us in childhood during the war years were introduced to Hitler only as caricature. Either he was a ranting, raving, carpet-chewing Chaplinesque buffoon -- or the anti-Christ, Satan Incarnate, a devil without human attribute who had hypnotized the German people. Such ignorance is folly. Though Hitler was indeed racist and anti-Semitic to the core, a man who without compunction could commit murder and genocide, he was also an individual of great courage, a soldier's soldier in the Great War, a political organizer of the first rank, a leader steeped in the history of Europe, who possessed oratorical powers that could awe even those who despised him. But Hitler's success was not based on his extraordinary gifts alone. His genius was an intuitive sense of the mushiness, the character flaws, the weakness masquerading as morality that was in the hearts of the statesmen who stood in his path." You don't find that at all sympathetic? Not even when Pat gushes about his "extraordinary gifts" or his "intuitive sense" or alludes to his great knowledge of European history when virtually every teacher Hitler ever had found him a below average and diffident student? In Mein Kampf, Hitler in point of fact reveals a great *lack* of understanding of European History. Read the book. It's senseless..... As for his issues with Black America, here are a few from an article on his website, posted March 28, 2008 and entitled "A Brief For Whitey" "First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known." See, we enslaved them, worked them without pay, bred them like livestock, forced the Christian faith on them and all of that wound up doing them a favor! "Untold trillions have been spent since the ’60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream." Now every one of those programs exist, but not a single one of them was designed for and limited to Blacks. ALL of them are open to ALL Americans. In fact, I'm sure that Buchanan knows that somewhere in the neighborhood of 75% of welfare recipients are WHITE! Why is he making it out to sound like Blacks are a welfare problem when Whites are the ones drawing it for the most part? Point of fact, boot the *white* asses off Welfare and your taxes will tumble! "Let him[Barack Obama] go to Altoona and Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for “deserving” white kids." Is he actually trying to make you think that the Ivy League is not giving scholarships to White/Catholic kids because they are giving them ONLY to Black kids? What's he trying to get whipped up when he writes that? He knows damn well that EVERY Ivy League currently has White, Catholic scholarship students. Every one of the schools in the Ivy League. All of them..... Do you *really* want to continue thinking Buchanan has no issues with African-Americans slaveboyforyou????
