Though this is just a rant... WTF is up with people that they must be so rude when you politely reject them. In my 5 years on cm I have had, maybe a handful of rude men reply with a nasty retort. A good thing about this is, it shows me what kind of so called doms are here (no this isn't a bitter post, I met some wonderful people here and friends with quite a few offline). One email they almost praise you then when the rejection email is sent they can be so rude.

Does this happen often to others? I am sure it does.

How do you respond or do you...

Hmm maybe I'm doing it wrong, I just hit the automatic "involved" button and it sends that daft form letter back - never hear from them again.

Of course the ignore button is also useful.

Sour grapes. I cant have it, so i have to make sure they know why I didnt really want it anyway.
I ignore it, honestly. If someone is dumb enough not to read what my profile says about looking (or not inn my case) and want to get rude about it, then I just tell them its not my fault they were too dumb to read up in the first place and spare their delicate feelings.
If I were you, Id just reply with a simple "Thank you for proving me right in rejectiing you beyond a shadow of a doubt. If you are that thin skinned, we would never have worked out anyway" and then block and ignore.

Color me confused - there is a button on collarme that sends a form letter saying that you are involved?

Sure it happens, it is hillarious.

I particularly get a kick out of how a supposed 'Dominant' man loses his wits over something so simple as rejection.

I merely reminds me that he is a weakling from the get-go and I am glad that my rejection-sensor is accurate. LOL

yes there are...they are relatively nice concise letters that let a person know that you are not interested for whatever reason.

Yes, it seems a few appear to confuse BDSM relationship skills with being a toddler.

It's best not to get upset, but imagine them there, either throwing themselves all over the carpet flailing their arms about or sitting there in front of a computer, thumb stuck in their mouth, arms folded, refusing to speak to anyone.

Pity you can't be there with a rattle or pacifier, isn't it?

i just block them myself...most of the ones who send compliments are ones trying to get into my pants....they are almost always sub males of the 40-50+ age.  half of them are on a different continent.  the other half are form letters.

i dont send out emails anymore to mistress's since i always got rejected myself...but i never sent any nasty msgs to them...although i am guilty of sending nasty msgs back to those that send me nasty msgs (usually sub males age 30 or less do this).

Diurnal Vampire,

Thanks for your post. I normally reply with, Good luck in your search. I try to respond to my emails unless of course they are rude from the beginning or they send a simple hello, those normally get deleted. When someone takes the time to write me a paragraph or more I usually will shoot off an email.

I do find it entertaining how one calls himself dom yet loses control over a rejection email, I just can't understand why people are so rude.

Yup, this happens too often.

Therefore I've stopped sending polite rejection letters. They should just face the fact that no reply= no interest.

I've found it rather amusing myself, and have considered using examples from previous emails as fodder for my journal (names changes to protect me from moderation of course.)  I don't get much email from people since I limited the scope of my profile, but before I did that I received a surprisingly large armount of hate mail for politely saying thank you, but no thank you.  I found the intensity of the reaction to be rather disturbing at times, which left me pretty blasted grateful for the near miss.
