I have been thinking about and talking over with Sir the idea of me having some permanent scarification / skin removal for some time now. It is not something i would do on a whim and certainly not something Sir would do for me on a whim either.
I have been toying with ideas of what design i would like and at first thought maybe a simple flower carving would be nice. I wasn't quite enamoured enough with that idea though to actually go ahead with it.
Finally after lots of thought i have decided to have 'freak' written in kanji at the base of my spine, just above my ass. It will sit nicely just below a tattoo i already have there. The decision to have kanji was partly based on few will know what it means and that the skin removal where the characters thicken will not be overly extreme.

So having made the decision, i am not rushing into it even now though, i am still taking a little time to ensure that it is what i want.........
I wondered if anyone else has done this here?
What picture / words etc you had done?
What kind of aftercare you applied to it?
Any bad experiences with scarification / skin removal?
Just anything i may find useful really

I absolutely love the idea of skin removal scarification (no interest, in "cutting", skin removal looks prettier imo), though I've only done research on it. The most common aftercare I've read about is that in order for the scar to heal properly, as a scar, you have to scrub it a couple times during the healing process. You have the same resource I do though so it's probably nothing new to you.

My plan is to do something botanical (not sure if I want flowers just yet) on my chest, on the left side, in order to get rid of some not-so pretty scars left over from a bad time in my teen years.

I recommend trying something small, just to see HOW you scar....we all do it differently, and I find that in recent years I am scarring in not happy ways. You have to be aggro with the wound in order to get it to act up~~one of my friends has used this peroxide solution (I can get you the info) and also has been using the silicone strips to get the scars to heal up evenly. Hers look great!

Both Alandra and I have a cutting of a pair of crossed swords on our right thigh symbolizing that we belong to him. She has a cutting on her back of a large rose. Mine are fading now and will have to be re-done, but they are almost 3 years old.

The only bad experiences I've seen with this really involve the expectation of the final result. I've seen people end up tattooing over intricate pieces that turned into a bit of a mess. They looked great initially, but as they healed it didn't turn out as planned.

I suppose you have to be cognizant of the end result, but remember that it may not turn out exactly like you thought it would. Other than that, keeping an eye on the risk of infection without distorting the results was a chore.

If I were going to have it done on myself, I would have it done in someplace I could reach. I'm way to nosy not to want to keep a constant eye on it... of course, that could be vanity...

That was my plan too but considering i am inately a freak and that is more significant to me and Sir that is what we have chosen. I wanted something more personal to me so that should i stop seeing Sir for any reason it was not ill placed.

I'm extremely fond of my skin.

I know exactly how much I have (it covers all of me) and I'm not particularly fond of having any of it removed.

If I need to lose some skin...I'd prefer it was my choice.

(But dats jus me).

Well color me envious!! I am bummed that my scarring is so crappy now......I never know WHAT is going to keloid and what is going to disappear utterly, and that is just normal bangup injuries.

I have some scars from a single tail and caning. The single tail broke the skin, the caning didn't. Both scarred and both were quite extreme hits. Thye have scarred nicely though so fingers crossed my skin will be quite receptive to permanent scarring / skin removal.

I had that question too. maybe "lust" or something would be more reliable. There might not be a true translation of "freak" in japanese. to them it might mean "mutant with three heads" instead of "freaky in the sheets"

i would try a small cutting first - i know you really want the skin removal...but people heal differently and different areas of the same body scar differently and the same area of the same body scar differently depending on the tool (the size, shape, depth of the break in skin) and from what i understand the skin removal process starts with cuttings and then removal of the skin...so you could do something like an out line cutting first and then figure out how you heal and then go back and do the smaller skin removal...but i'll tell you right now...it's a bitch when a cutting or a tattoo gets infected - i've had both do so, i would love to have a skin removal done, but i would not do one where i could not easily clean it like on my arms or the front of my body...just my personal opinion...

oh yea...someone mentioned peroxide for enhancing scarring...peroxide is a liquid debreeder that reacts with the things that aren't supposed to be there - like infection, and things that respond to infection...try pouring hydrogen peroxide on normal skin...no bubbly, nothing to react to...i use it to enhance healing, not enhance scarification...personally i believe if the scarification is done right in the first place, there is no need to do anything to enhance it, just take care of it and make sure it does not get infected and it heals...if you keloid lightly...you have to do it multiple times, scrubbing it and doing things like that will only mess up the artists work...

I actually have some scares on my body, that I would not mind turning into artwork. I love this topic. In fact I might be more prone to having this done compared to getting a tattoo at the moment.

hi~
i have a star cutting on my chest - Master surprised me one night and just said i was getting it. i'd actually never thought about it before. He got a design He wanted on his arm, mine needs to be re-cut because it blended in a little after healing - and it was 6 years ago. it was the best feeling and is still a source of pride for me in many ways!

i've had enough skin removal and scarification to last me a lifetime due to skin cancer; i hardly think i would choose to intentionally have more done just for the sake of 'because i can' or to 'symbolize' anything...

and with that said, i feel, for me, that it's what's inside a persons mind and heart that is more symbolic of who they are than any outside body modification.

Yes lol. I know someone who is going to get me the translation correctly and believe me i will be checking it against other sources.

Thank you chelle. I have had some small cuttings done previously. One was a star on my back and one was a men at work road sign on my stomach. Neither of them have caused permanent permanent scarring but the road work sign is still slightly visible.
Your idea is still very good though and i will certainly discuss this with Sir.
