Do bear in mind, op, the nature of this site (it won't improve your search, but at least it may help ease the frustration we can all feel when searching!). There are huge numbers of ppl on CollarMe and it's a free facility; the site providers have done a pretty good job of making it work well and keep costs under control by automating as much as possible.
But maintaining automated facilities which meet the very varied needs ("wants" actually) of so many different users is tough. So things we each feel might be simple improvements can in practice be difficult and thus expensive changes to make (more sophisticated filtering for example). As posters above have pointed out, what initially might seem simple (cut out profiles containing "generous") can backfire in practice; programming is hard work. One of the common comments made here is "if you don't like CM just ask for your money back", which can help put the facility in context.
Add to the "mechanical" difficulties the fact that all human life is here and you soon find that - just as if you wandered round town - 80% of the population are remarkably stupid. (I think you'll find, incidentally, that a fair number of the brighter ones come to these message boards, so you have an advantage coming here! But don't worry, there are some very stupid ppl here too [;)]).
All I'm suggesting is that if one approaches this place understanding its limitations, knowing you have a mountain to climb to reach your goal, it can make the journey less irksome. Add to that some of the clever tips and tricks already posted and your searches should be easier. Best of luck.
