LadyRainfire -> RE: Spreading germs from a cold (6/18/2008 12:23:05 PM)

Considering how sick I am right now, I should be able to answer this one. Like DesFIP says, the passing of the germs is in the touching of things or spraying them in the air through coughing or sneezing. Most commonly, germs are passed through touch though so the thing to do is wash your hands frequently. Anti-bacterial soap is not needed as colds are viral, not bacterial. Hot water and soap work just fine. Hospitals train staff to wash their hands for a certain length of time, usually while singing a little song (it was Yankee Doodle Dandy at one hospital I worked with...). Once you ran through the song while washing your hands in running water, you knew you'd washed them long enough. One concern you may wish to think about is that if you have a sore throat, you may aggravate it with the action and friction of the penis in your mouth.
