Ask the person how they wish to be addressed. Period.
I personally find frenzied slash speak idiotic. Though i often use lower case letters when referring to myself in emails or IMs. I also, if i truly respect the Dominant, use capital letters when emailing or IMing with Him or Her or Hym. I always capitalize the first letter of the names of those to whom i'm writing or chatting (aka, Julia or John).
