ORIGINAL: pahunkboy A pharmacist has alot of med training. When I got the rx filled I asked him about it. So at this point things seem ok. I was thinking if I wear my carpal brace then I can go bike riding. I see a page on removing stitches. But I dont think I will need it. Do yourself a favor and unless you know what you are doing, or are in an extremely desparate situation - do NOT try to remove your own stitches by following instructions from the internet. There are considerations you wont recognize - tissue granulation etc - and you stand a very good chance of fucking it up. I will put in, and take out, my own stitches but I have been both officially and unofficially trained to. (first aid portion of military survival training, paramedic class, clinical rotations on paramedic class, informal session with vet and dentist, taught to use crazy glue instead by local neighborhood surgeon, etc... See a nurse practicioner or PA if you dont want a doctor, but dont entrust your medical care to pages on the internet. Youre not a crash survivor downed in the Amazon, you have access to professional medical care in the USA.
